The contractor was out of town for another week so that was another delay. It would have been OK, if he would have initially told me to anticipate that delay, but he didn't. He told me he would begin work the next day. I felt misled. When he finally faxed over an estimate, it was very vague. It wasn't broken down at all. I have to give KT some credit because he did come back out after I brought it up. It then took him 2 weeks to finish. It took a full month to finish the job. In the contract I said I wouldn't pay until the job was done, but he came to me half way through wanting payment for the paint. He said they do "jam up" work which I thought would be good. I just told him I would pay for the paint which got us over the hump. There were some caulking and ceiling texture problems as well. He said that was as good as it gets and he couldn't come back out to fix it. Although eventually I did get value out of the job, I had to bring a different contractor in to finish the job right.
