"The evaluation by [removed member name] is disappointing. The spots can be addressed w/ a simple phone message/ email but none has been received. The crew noticed spots (which they sanded. sanding turns the moldy wood darker than pieces next to it). If some were missed a call would of helped. However, most stressing is the urgency and priority this call was granted. The customer's initial call focused on timing, concern was moving, furniture, speed of process. After greater ATL experienced 7 weeks of rain - the wettest summer in 20 yrs, [removed member name] was rushed in front of people waiting 4 weeks due to his sense of urgency. The estimate was given via a measurement provided by the customer and 3 photos (which missed the situation/ placement of the stairs). This was an estimate, I see 95% of jobs I do. This customer knew I was doing things different for him due to his focus on timing. Finally, 90% of jobs that size would take 5 gallons. We brought 6 gallons we our first sealing trip. The wood was extremely dry. It required 1.75 gallons more. An unethical company would of put 1 coat on or thinned the product out and lied to a customer. We did not, we made a Saturday AM trip to finish the last 1/3 of floor and steps. The real kicker is [removed member name] wasn't asked to pay anything more for the extra product - we ate the cost (plus the cost to make an extra trip to do the job right). The only added charge on the invoice was the added difficulty / size of staircase. Which a conversation was placed w/ [removed member name] alerting to the extra cost. Wood Wizards has logged / kept communication / pictures supporting the above statements. Other contractors beware."
Nick provided an estimate for us when he was staining a neighbor's fence. The estimate seemed a little high, but still within reason. Since our neighbor's fence turned out well, we decided to hire him. We tried to schedule the fence staining job in mid-December, but the weather was not cooperative. They were able to pressure wash the fence in advance of the job, but conditions weren't right to apply the stain. We needed to have the job done by the end of December, so Nick
had his crew work on a Sunday to meet our deadline. They did a thorough job and even provided me with some extra stain, incase touch ups are ever necessary. The only potential concern is that the workers needed an area to clean some equipment with solvent, which would kill grass and plants. I have an area where there are no plants (future rock garden) so it was not a problem for me, but it could be elsewhere. I am very pleased with the results of their work, and I will recommend them to others.Licensing
