I have had a horrible experience with DiCicco and Associates. Initially, Jay DiCicco came out in a reasonable period of time. He came out on Wednesday, August 10th and he stated that the appraisal report should be completed by Monday, August 15th. That is a typical turnaround time so that was fine. Well the appraisal report did not arrive on the 15th ...or the 16th... or the 17th and I started calling and emailing him, He called me back on Friday morning and said they were just so busy and promised the report would be to me very soon - within the next hour or so. And...once again, there was no appraisal report!! Now it is a week overdue from his estimated timeframe and his overly late report is preventing me form locking in an interest rate. I would not recommend this appraiser. Update: He did finally get the report to me and it was not near what my neighbors were able to sell their houses for in my neighborhood. Again - I would never hire him.

I called to schedule an appointment and he was very flexible. I preferred a weekend appointment so I could be home and they were more than willing to come on the weekend which was helpful. I was able to get an appointment the next day. I got an email confirming appointment, price and time. He arrived on time and was very professional. I received my appraisal back fast and it was detailed. Highly recommend DiCicco and Associates as expertise, communication and professionalism is superior.

Everything was great. I called him up and he told me when he was available, which was the very next day. He called and sent an email when he was done to give me some great insight about the property.

They came promptly and they were efficient. I would rate them highly.

Tony was great, he did a complete job, asked questions, listened to the answers and did thorough research.

I called several appraisers but Jay was by far the most professional. Appraisers I have used in the past tended to give me a "cookie cutter" report; just filling in the blanks with no thought. My house is unique with barns, stables etc. and Jay took all that into consideration when finding comparables which was not an easy task. He asked for a list of upgrades and improvement, taking these into consideration with the appraisal. Jay checked out every inch of the property, even scaling a fence to get down to the creek! He took many pictures and asked lots of questions. The entire process from contract to appraisal in hand took less than a week. I will always use Jay for appraisals in the future.

My experience with DiCicco and Associates was excellent from the beginning! First, when scheduling the appraisal, the appraiser was very accommodating with my schedule as I am very busy during the day, and the appraiser was willing to meet me after work or even on Saturday. Secondly, after speaking with my appraiser on the phone and asking him some questions, I was impressed by his knowledge of the industry and his professionalism. Lastly, when I received the appraisal report, I was appreciative with the detail and thought that he put into my appraisal. I would not hesitate to personally recommend him to my friends, family, or business associates who need services of an appraiser.

My past experiences with appraisers, sub-contractors, builders and adjusters have not all proven to be positive experiences. Because I have worked in the Financial/Insurance industry since 1991 and have received a customer service designation, my determination of what is good customer service and what is not, is not only based on a personal observation, but a professional one as well. Not only was the appraiser on time, but he was polite, came completely prepared (this is big) and also furnished all printed materials to me by the day and time promised. I believe managing customers expectations is key.
