Nu-Green Heating and Air

Kevin and his team were responsive the first time they needed to come tweak the system.  However, now it's been blowing 82 degrees for the last week.  I called him and the best he could do was commit to coming Monday @ 9am. 

My family sweat all weekend. I get a text message from him at 8am on Monday that he got a call from a commercial job over the weekend and recommended we call someone else or wait 2 weeks for him.

First suggestion to Nu Green would be to honor your work and schedule commitment. 

Second suggestion would be to notify your customer as soon as you learn of a conflict and not wait until an hour before you are supposed to be there fixing the unit. 

Thirdly, all of this is more of a "phone call" situation than a "text you at the last minute" situation.

Kevin Dubose made some poor choices and we obviously chose poorly when we put our faith in him.

They replaced my heat pump/AC in 2013. Price was good however BEWARE when you need them to come fix something they are always Out of town on a job ESPECIALLY on the weekend or they have some other excuse. This last time he didn't answer but texted me back trying to explain what the problem may be. So far i has a capacitor go a few months back had to call another company to fix it. This weekend the pan leaked overflowing into my kitchen ceiling causing a LOT of damage to the drywall(Kitchen was just remodeled two years ago smooth ceilings) which I now have to have fixed.....The best part is when the HVAC tech showed up he said it should not have leaked over if NU-Green had put the right size pan under the handler the one they installed was a couple inches too small on each side. He also showed my husband where they did not install a primary float switch which would have shut the unit down before it overflowed. Only a secondary shutdown was installed. I would not use this company again.

I called Nu Green Heating and Air to check on my AC unit that stopped working. They told me they could be there the next day at 11:00 am. They arrived at 10:50 and checked the unit top to bottom. This unit is about 10 years old so I was expecting bad news. However, they informed me that the unit only needed a new motor and could be repaired instead of a complete replacement. They gave me a very fair price for the repair and also gave me an estimate for a new unit when the time comes. I really appreciate the quick turnaround fixing the unit and the professional customer service. I would strongly recommend Nu Green Heating and Air for any of your HVAC needs.

I have a home warranty and have had A/C issues since February. Nu-Green was the 4th contractor to work on my problems. He was also the only one of the 4 contractors that fixed the problems. He came on a Friday afternoon and looked at the outside unit where he found a capacitor and a fan completely worn out (he showed me the parts!) He left to get parts and returned to install these. He then went to the attic to check out the air handler (new in February) and he found where the first contractor had never configured the old ductwork to fit the new air handler even though I paid $400 out of pocket to have that done (not covered by the home warranty). I was trying to air condition my attic! No wonder the fan and the capacitor were worn out and my electric bill for July was $450 (vs avg < $300). Kevin apologized for not being able to fix this but he din't have any materials with him. He promised to return Saturday morning and he did! I did have cool air Friday night but on Saturday night I was actually cold in my house with the thermostat set for 76. I cannot say enough positive things about Kevin Dubose with Nu-Green Heating and Air.
