We had used Chris in the past. so we called him when a few trees fell on our house after a storm. He took about a week to come out and assess the situation and another week to come out and remove the trees from our house. After multiple calls to him he still has not finished the job. He left multiple logs in our neighbor's yard and the trees have not been completely removed. We can't even get him to send us a bill for the work that he did do. I am calling another service on Tuesday to finish the job. I would NEVER use this tree service again.

Except for late notice that, due to an emergency, they needed to reschedule for the day following the original appointment, the work was completed with great efficiency and professionalism.  The skill and expertise of the entire team was admirable.  From the removal of the tree branches and moss to the cleanup, their teamwork was impressive.

My husband called Hunt's in Oct. because we had used them before  and we had several very large trees to come down because of a wind storm.  They came out and gave us an estimate  and time frame both of which worked for us.  They did the work as contracted and we were very pleased, as usual with them.  Since we have quite a few large old trees  I am sure we will be calling them in the future!  Barbara Towles

WE CONTACTED HUNT TREE SERVICE FOR AN ESTIMATE (ALONG WITH A COUPLE OTHER TREE SERVICE FIRMS) FOR THE REMOVAL OF A VERY LARGE WATER OAK.  THE TREE WAS "WEDGED" IN ANOTHER TREE THAT KEPT IT FROM FALLING ONTO THE GROUND.  ALL THE ESTIMATES WERE WITHIN $300.00 OF ONE ANOTHER BUT HUNT'S  TIME FRAME WAS BETTER FOR US AND WE HAD USED THEM BEFORE.  THEY SHOWED UP WHEN SCHEDULED AND TOOK CARE OF THE TREE IN A TIMELY, PROFESSIONAL MANNER.  WE WERE VERY PLEASED.  BARBARA M. I looked them up on the telephone book.  They were really good.  They were in and out the no time.  They were wonderful.  I thought they were very reasonable.  They were quick and cleaned up really well.  They hauled away the tree as well.  I would rate them high overall.  I will definitely use them again in the future.

Hunt Tree Service contracted to cut down and remove a pine tree and the stump from my yard in September 2010.  They did cut down the tree, however, due to their oversight they were unable to remove the stump at that time.  I then spent numerous unanswered attempts to contact them via phone and email over the ensuing 3 months to have them finish the job and remove the stump, to no avail.  I ultimately had to get someone else to remove the stump at an additional cost which Hunt Tree Service indicated they would only reimburse me $50 for a job that cost $150.  The owner indicated in an email on December 14th that he had his accountant issue me a check for $50 and that I should receive it that week.  In a follow-up email on January 6th, I informed him that I had still NOT received the check I should have received almost three full weeks earlier.  As of this posting (June 3rd, 2011) I have still not received the 'promised' check for $50.  You can decide for yourself, but I found Hunt Tree Service to be unreliable, untrustworthy, and dishonest.

They did a lot of work for a very reasonable price. My only difficulty with them is that they still have a couple of things to finish off which are rather minor, but, I can't seem to get them back to finish up those things even though I owe him 40 dollars. However, his crew was very good; they came out, started the work and finished it in two days.

Mr. Hunt provided an estimate before this job was started in Jun 2008. We did not hear back from him. In January 2009, the insurance company warned me that they were dropping policies for homes that were in bad shape. An assessor determined that my house needed work with the roofing, exterior and tree branches and the home owner's policy would be dropped if I did not comply by July 25th. I called Mr. Hunt and they came around in June 2009 to start work on the roof. He said he could not work on the exterior trim while the roof was in progress. Hunt's is also a tree service so we also hired him to trim branches that were close to the house. They took the $1,287.50 advanced payment and completed about half of the job. Then I did not hear from him again for some time, despite numerous attempts to contact him (I failed to leave messages but he usually answers his phone). Fast forward to July 24. I get the final notice from the insurance company. I got a hold of Mr. Hunt and he said he would take care of things. He called the insurance company, according to an assessor who came around that day, and told them that he would be completing the work. This caused them to delay dropping the insurance. The assessors will return tomorrow to take pictures again. I am afraid that the incomplete work might cause them to change my mind so I am finishing what Mr. Hunt started. I am a 51 year old single woman who teaches at an art college here. My wrists are frail from carpal tunneling syndrome and this is very h****** me. All he had to do was say "find someone else" and I would have gladly done so since it did not appear as if he could finish the job on this critical deadline.
