Horrible results! They would not give us a refund nor did the tech.

I called Windstream several times about our terribly slow internet. They have shifted me around to different people but never can give me a reason for such slow service. We pay around $120.00 a month for phone and internet. We do not use the phone, we don't even have one plugged up at home. So, there should be some type of savings we could get for no phone, but in order to get internet we have to have a phone line. It is a rip off. AND they are the only provider in our town. Monopoly. We wish we could find some alternative way to have internet.

The set up went well with no problems. I paid extra for an installer, but it was worth it to get it right.
I first started out with just internet,which I should have just stuck with. They charge more than I was comfortable paying for an unlisted phone number. I added landline later and mostly my calls are prank hang-up calls. I should have paid more for the unlisted number.
All in all, they are pricey...I pay between 99.00 to 120.00 a month just for internet and unlimited landline. I seen my bill go from 79 dollars which I thought was the bundle amount to around 100.00 a month with no real explanation why even though I called them and asked but their answer was unclear to me.
However on the plus side...the internet is super fast and rarely has difficulties that I cant fix myself. Sometimes the wirelress motem has to be restarted, but thats no big deal. Only twice in the two years that I used them have we had an outage.  Both times, I reported it...it was corrected that same day. I have never had an internet service that works as well as windstream does.
As for the phone, if you get a landline with them...dont be tempted to opt out of a unlisted number because of costs because up to 8 times a day, we get prank hang up calls that began a few days after starting our phone service.
The tech help is very friendly, knowledgeable, relate-able, and courteous, no problems with them at all.
The only problem I have with windstream is my bill, they cant seem to help me understand why my bill is so much and the cost of things like unlisted numbers.

We didn't have a choice but to deal with them because our satellite TV came through them. The Internet service is pretty good. When the dish goes out, we don't have Internet or phone or anything else. We saved money by going with them. They are hard to get a hold of through the customer service number. I am not impressed by them. I have been with them for two years.

A year ago, I got a service charge when they sent someone out.  They claimed that someone in our household made a call to have someone come out to check things out, but no one among us made that call. My overall experience with them is lousy. On the good side, they are responsive.

I think what we pay is a fair price. I will keep using them.

The service goes down a lot and the price is a little high but it is the only one available to her so we will continue to use Windstream.
