Flooring
Called and postponed the install date by a week.
When the crew arrived to take up ceramic tile they started using a hammer and chisel. I was told by the salesman that they would be using a $10,000.00 piece of machinery that would make it easy. The crew boss left and came back with a rented small jack hammer.
The install took a week. Some days they would only work 3-4 hours. Their small table saw broke down on the 2nd day and they were going to leave and come back when they got another saw. I told them they could use my small table saw. They offered to buy it or rent it, but I let them just use it.
I expected a mess, but ended up with more than expected. Glue on almost all door handles. More dust than expected, the reason being they would not use shop vacs. They used a broom and compound.
Wood flooring=$5602.50 ($4.15 sq ft)
T-mold =$ 70.00 (2 pieces)
Glue =$ 765.00 (9 4gal buckets) 2 buckets were returned w/ no credit to me)
Quarter Round=$ 378.18 (@.99 foot)
Labor =$3162.00
Demo Tile =$ 705.00
Plus Tax
All persons involved were very polite. I have never received a follow-up call from Flooring America inquiring about my install.
