Very good price for work completed.

They are the regular keepers of our cars. We do all of our routine car care thru them plus anything else that comes up for our 2 cars. They are very good. I don't think they charged us for checking out the noise, just for the oil change and it was minimal. We tend to find good people and stick with them. They have worked on multiple cars for us including our older sons Defender 90 which is a British car. They have worked on a variety of cars for us over the years. They are always very good about telling us what is going on. They give us an estimate of the work before they do the work. They call us with what they find. 

One of the things we like about them is you can tell them your issues, like time issues, and they will work with us on that. We had a bigger problem that they researched and found us the best price where we could get work done on certain parts of it. And while it was an expensive fix they researched and worked to get us the best price. They've always been very honest and above board with us.

Was very happy with their service.  Very thorough and professional and reasonable costs (~$96) and agreed to do the inspection on pretty short notice which helped in my dealings with the seller. Left it with him for about four hours.  Many car places offer what they call a "free" inspection but I finally figured out that they only find "problems" with items which they are in the business of correcting.  Earl's did not offer any 'free' inspections but was very informative about exactly what would be checked in his inspection.  He checked the collision history, the on-board check-engine history, the current check-engine readings, the brakes, belts, electricals, electronics, lights, liquid levels, tire tread wear patterns, and several other major items I can't recall right now.  He found nothing serious despite being in the business of correcting anything which he may have found.  He gave me some tips on "frequently occurring" mechanical issues with this particular model and what to pay close attention to in do-it-yourself maintenance.  I felt I had truly gotten my money's worth and more than I had originally expected.  I did go ahead and purchase the car and have been very happy with it so far.  Money well spent.  If you are planning on buying a car and want to know what it's condition really is, I'd recommend you not get a "free" inspection done.  You will not be saving any money that way.
