They came to my house because they were doing my neighbor's lawn. They were approaching me so I used them. They have the service for a year so they just drop the invoice off on the door. I am not very happy with the lawn, but there could be other problems. Basically they signed me up and I don't think they were very proactive, they just do their service. They do just the regular spray for $45 every time. Aeration was $95 and was one time a year. They recommended the aeration at the beginning of the year. They treat 8 times a year. Their price was comparable to my other service provider but what they were selling me were all these benefits like the chemicals they use. It is about the same price of everyone I quoted. The lawn was not improving or anything better than the previous service provider. I did not talk with them that much. The last time I asked them some questions and they said they would send some people, but they didn't. I did not really have any appointments; they just came in whenever and left the bill on the door. I think they are professional, but I think their salespeople exaggerated some things about their service.
It is now April 7, 2016 and I noticed my yard not looking stronger and greener, rather worse than when the previous company serviced it. I called and asked when they were there last and they told me November and that since I had a past due amount the service contract was canceled. I told them I paid this in early January. When they looked up the account and realized that I had paid she said it must have been an oversight and that I had missed one service and the next one was due (so almost 2).
I was upset and at their excuse for dropping my service. They on the other hand had a "oh well" attitude and made me feel like a deadbeat. Like if I hadn't not been a late pay this would have never happened. I believe there sales rep suckered me into these additional treatments without having the authority to stand behind his word.
I asked the office secretary to have the manager contact me and she said she would. I did not hear from him so I am assuming they don't want my business. Based on the actions of this vendor if they don't honor their word and services why are they allowed to be on Angie's List? I am an independent business owner just like Weed Man of Palmetto, GA. The difference between my business and this one is we honor the words spoken to our customers no matter what employee speaks them. Our
employees know what to and what not to promise to customers. It is not about making the sale rather what will gain the customer?s loyalty and long term relationship.
Based on the outcome of this relationship over the past year I would caution anyone contemplating a service relationship with Weed Man of Palmetto, GA or Weed Man anywhere as it would appear the parent corporation is OK with these sales and service tactics.

There are a variety of factors that can affect weed control, such as weather, mowing, etc. Sometimes these factors have a negative affect and an application may not "take" as well as it should. This is why we offer unlimited, free retreats. As you will see in our literature, we encourage customers to simply give us a call anytime they aren't seeing results. That way we can come out and perform a retreat at no additional charge. Please feel free to call the office if we can be of future service. Thank you again for your business and your feedback."

For the Big Deal the pricing was really good. Normally the price is better than average.
I had a little problem and they took care of it no problem. They come when they're due. I didn't have any problem at all with their professionalism.

Stewart did our consultation, and he is very knowledgeable and honest. He thoroughly explained to us what he could and could not fix in our yard, and he has been dead-on. We will gladly be loyal customers as long as they continue the great work!

Because customer satisfaction is so important to us, I took some time to discuss your account with our Sales Manager and Field Manager so that I could get a better idea of what may have gone wrong. First, I can tell you that while we do sell the $29 treatment as a single service, we communicate to all of our customers that this is meant as an initial treatment at a discounted price, in the hopes that you will choose our continuous service. The treatment will kill weeds within a few weeks of application, but it takes regular treatments over a period of time to rid your lawn of weeds completely. This is why our basic program consists of 7 treatments per year, including pre and post emergent weed control and slow release granular fertilizer. This is communicated to all of our customers prior to initial treatment. I do show a note on your account, however, stating that we were unable to contact you. So I apologize if that was not communicated effectively to you. Please know that we go to great lengths to use top quality products and to provide one of the best lawn maintenance programs in the business. If at any time a customer is not happy with their results, we will come and do a retreat for free. This is outlined in the paperwork that we leave hanging on the door following your treatment.
