CUSTOM COUNTERTOPS

Description of Work: Robert John Madden "RJ Madden" of Givens Granite and Tile was hired by me to complete a home improvement project. When he failed to start the project, return my deposit and refused to commumicate with me I filed a complaint with the Cobb County Sheriff's Department which started a criminal investigation on Madden and Givens Granite and Tile. Madden claimed he purchased materials from Grady Minter of Custom Countertops and gave the investigator an invoice claiming to be from Custom Countertops. The investigator contacted Mr. Minter and asked him to submit proof of the purchase, which he had to ask for on numerous occasions to see if the invoice Madden submitted matched Custom Countertops' invoice. Mr. Minter never produced an invoice, instead claimed the one that was submitted by Madden was legitimate. Shortly after that I purchased some drawer pulls from Custom Countertops and when a receipt was requested, Mr. Minter produced an invoice that looks very different from the one that Givens Granite and Tile submitted for the materials purchased for the home improvement project (the one submitted to the investigator). I question Mr. Minter's interigity due to this experience and would not do business with this company nor would I recommend this company.
