Trees were 70 feet tall within 10 feet on my house. and they barely virtually did no damage to our lawn. They were very fast , extremely professional . they provided exactly what they said they would provide.

This is the second tree removal project they've done for us. They came on time, did a great job and left neatly stacked piles of firewood upon completion. Bryan did a great job communicating about timing and was on site the day of the removal to supervise. We hired them because we heard they are careful with surrounding landscaping and we have artificial turf in our yard around the trees. No damage at all. They were wonderful to deal with!

Let me start this by saying I would hire them again. The job did not go perfectly though, through no fault of theirs. We had a 6 trees to remove. 1 pine, 2 little ones(30 ft.), a sweet gum, a hickory, and a MASSIVE oak tree in the back yard. Most of the cost came from the Oak as it was 15 feet away from the house and 100+ years old. It was probably 15-20 feet around.. It was dying. They had to bring in a crane. They came out and started the work. 4 trees in the front yard came down no problem. The trouble happened with the dying oak in the back yard. The first cut with the crane attached caused it to swing and break off a dead branch that crashed through our roof, dining room ceiling, and kitchen table. I was about to leave with my kids and watched it happen standing next to Bryan(the VERY knowledgeable sales rep) and his face dropped. This was not on them, it was placement of the boom by the crane guys. We left and came back shortly after when the GM (a different Bryan) himself came out to clean up the mess and inspect everything. He was nothing but apologies. The roof was tarped and I was promised I would be contacted for repairs They finished for the day and came back a couple days later after it stopped raining to finish the MASSIVE oak and the other tree in the backyard. The crew was very nice and attentive and I did make sure to tip them because they did their job and were very attentive. Hats off to them. The restoration company came out and inspected and figured out what needed to be done. They patched the roof, fixed the ceiling, painted the entire rooms' ceiling and cleaned up their mess. Then the GM himself came out and installed a new ceiling fan(because 1 blade had broken during the incident), put together the brand new table we had picked out that it had broken, and verified everything was OK to our expectations. That is the moment that he was paid. He never asked beforehand and didn't expect it. Sometimes stuff happens and it matters how it is handled. They handled it like PROS. Would definitely hire them again.

I initially meet with Bryan. He was courteous, professional and a good communicator. He came out personally to supervise the job. Foreman Oliver and the rest of the crew were terrific and acted like they really cared about doing a good job. The 6 man crew arrived promptly on the appointed day and were finished by day's end. Everything was cleaned up and neat when they left. We highly recommend AKA for tree removal, especially if you have a demanding job.

Daniel Crumbley was excellent to work work with. He made sure that everything was done that he promised me. I didn’t have to pay until I was happy with everything. They arrived early Wednesday morning before I went to work. They were finished when I came home. Wood stacked neatly at the street, was removed the very next day. Stump ground on Friday.

Overall good, but had to reschedule from Saturday to Tuesday-4/18 (required taking a vacation day) due to the truck for log removal being broken. We have a pool so could not leave unprotected plus dogs could not stay inside all day. Claimed they start early at about 7AM. So I was up to open the gate. First workers arrived at 8AM and supervisor arrived about 8:15AM then work started. [PUNCTUALITY] One of them went next door and got verbal permission to use their driveway. This helped my grass, but I was unaware they did it until I saw they were in his driveway. According to the company office after I questioned them about this practice, the workers were to get written permission on a form. According to my neighbor, that did not happen. At the end of day (last two left at 8:55PM), they blew off the neighbor's driveway. The next day my son and I tried to wash off the clay embedded in the driveway from the truck and Bobcat tracks. No way that was working, so my son had to pressure wash his driveway. My neighbor is very particular about things like that, being the HOA president. [QUALITY] When moving logs, 8 boards of the privacy fence were damaged, which the QA guy fixed the next day or two AND dropped off the bill in my mailbox. But new cedar versus weathered cedar looks bad since the boards were in 3 areas--separated by undamaged ones. Three workers were close and could have been spotting for the driver. They lost control of one branch and broke a window on my shed. Again it was fixed by QA, but was unnecessary damage and hassle since someone had to be there to unlock the gate. I had to prompt them to fix the stones around my fire pit (outer and inner rings). A couple of stones broke but look adequate so not concerned too much about that. After a couple of days I realized that several of my walkway stones were damaged or could not be located. May be under clay when Bobcat was doing its thing. Also noted a few days later that one of my metal Tiki light poles was snapped in two by a table they moved down to the lower area. Stuff happens, but it would have been good to know and not find. Made me wonder what else is out there. So gave B in this area because mostly preventable. [QUALITY] The log truck broke again that day so 45 16-foot logs sat on my front lawn from Tuesday evening until Thursday sometime. The stump grinders showed up the following Tuesday-4/18. Not sure how well the grinding was done because they raked the chips back over the stump location [QUALITY]. I asked what would be the price to remove the grindings and was told $900 by the office--SAW WHAT???? Regardless I gave them A for pricing. That was when I sent the check in payment because the job was complete.

Excellent. We scheduled a date and they called and said they could come earlier if ok. Was great for us. They sent two crews, about 10 men with bucket truck, chippers and lots of equipment. What would have taken one guy several days was done in about 4 hours. They added on taking down another tree for a great price since they were already here.

Excellent crew, very easy to work with. They did what they said they would do and showed up when promised. They were a little expensive but it's an art form dropping at tree where it needs to go. Overall, very impressed with these guys would not hesitate to use them again.
