Lonny and his excellent team have remodeled two of my bathrooms in the past, and just recently my kitchen. This last project was the most extensive since it also included painting five room, putting in new lighting, replacing a window and addressing a leaky roof and a broken pipe. He has also taken care of several other repairs to my home over the years. I return to Lonny when I need work done to my home because of the quality of work and the value for what I spend. More importantly, it's his integrity and professionalism as well as that of his team that give me confidence that my projects are in the right hands.

UPDATE 12/9/24: I hired Lonny to do a rather large remodel job on the house. I am not going to go into details about his attitude: different story altogether. The quality of work is low. We had to deal with several issues that were the direct result of his crews work. The latest issue got to me: his crew moved a vent in master bathroom. They never patched the roof! We now have mold! ORIGINAL COMMENT: Lonny has major control issues and has little respect for his clients (or, at least, for me). The work was decent though there were several things that should have been done differently. He was one of the more expensive bidders; yet, we went with him for the sake of completing this project in a short time frame before the school year starts. He said he could do that. For the sake of completing the project on time, we had let a few things that were not to the original specs go without fixing them. Yet, when the project started falling behind and I brought it up to his attention he yelled at me! We spent close to 100K on the project! On top of that, he would add ridiculous charges to the project for anything that was not on the original agreement. For example, $200 to remove old washer and drier (his crew moved them from the house to the dumpster that I already paid for and that he used to dispose of things from other projects!). He spoke Spanish to his workers. Yet, when I spoke Russian to someone he demanded (DEMANDED) that I switch to English. All in all: major control issues and very little respect.

Lonny and his crew was awesome to work with. He was always punctual and very professional. Prior to my project beginning he informed me each week what type of work would be done on my basement. If I had questions or concerns he would immediately respond back to me. I am throughly enjoying my new basement and it is now one of my favorite areas of my house. Lonny made my project stress free and enjoyable while watching my once unfinished basement turn into a gorgeous finished basement. Lonny made sure to stay within my budget and told me when certain things were not needed. If you want a contractor and crew that is honest, have patience and also have your best interest at heart. In searching for our new home, we wanted a move in ready home. However, we just couldn't quite find something that was perfect. We found our home but it wasn't quite our dream home....yet. We worked with Lonny and team to completely gut and renovate our kitchen, powder room, sun room, and even overhaul our backyard. Now, we've got our dream home and could not be happier! Lonny was so knowledgeable and provided guidance for little things along the way for items you wouldn't think of, like where to place outlets, making sure the inner home systems were working properly, adding a whole home water filtration system, etc. When you go through a big reno project, you want a contractor who looks at everything, not just the cosmetic pieces. He was in constant communication with us as we went through the process and reassured us along the way. Everyone at Kole Contractors went above and beyond with the work, and we are just thrilled with our new home!

Professional, gets things done and does what he says!

The contractor took very long time to get the project done and it is still not complete. The contract needs to be read carefully when dealing with the contractor. They do nice sweet talk however they will try to pass lot of costs to you. I wouldn't hire or recommend them again. This contractor left a sour taste after the work was completed. Final inspection was not completed with the county and i am having to call them and set up the final inspection. The owner doesn't take responsibility and not customer focused. It is not his project manager that is to blame here. As a leader and owner of this business, he has the ultimate responsibility and he failed.

It was a great experience to work with Lonnie and his team on my basement finish. He and his team could not only see my vision but also provide additional input to enhance what I wanted done. The work that was done will fit nicely into the plans I have to expand my deck and patio...which I will be reaching back out to Kole once again.

We tore out the kitchen to the walls, and Lonny made the remodeling practically stress free with his efficient management and attention to details. He also made many suggestions that we had not thought of, and we are so pleased with the result.

Jim was very attentive to our requests and made sure we knew what was planned for the day. He also made sure to let us know when the schedule changed due to situations that came up.

From start to finish, Lonny and his crew were knowledgeable and professional. Although my job was a small repair, the communication and quality of work was completed as if I was their only customer. I would highly recommend Kole Contractors/Builders and will use them again in the future.

Hired for multiple projects. Bid did not always reflect what we thought we had discussed when showing problems. Lonny will give very detailed bid, but not in terms you can always make sense of. I think he will do what he says he will do, but you should get it in a form you can understand, or he will say he did everything in the bid. Phillip oversaw subcontractors, and generally did a good job. When Lonny did not get sufficient info from us about what we wanted done, the subs made mistakes, and Lonny left it to us to work out solution with subs. On the whole, we were pleased with the work. Just remember that it is up to you to tell him exactly what you want, and to make sure it gets included in the quote.

We had a portico (covered porch), concrete paths, a concrete stoop covered in fieldstone, and Hardie plank siding installed by Lonny. The results are amazing. Lonny is a great designer and engineer as well as a builder so he really knew what to do to make our house look awesome. We never dreamed we could have such a beautiful exterior for our 40-year-old home. Every person who worked on the project was professional, worked quickly and did some nice extras to bring everything together. For example they replaced some rotted wood on the deck and brought in a lot of fill dirt to make the house even on both sides in the front. Lonny worked hard to ensure that the details we were unsure of were figured out, such as how to engineer and design the porch onto the existing house so it looks like it has been there the whole time. It was great to work with someone who has a vision and can work at a really high level with you. Lonny helped us manage costs as well which was refreshing. He helped us see where compromises could be made and where we needed to hold the line to keep the quality high. We will be working with Lonny again on our home addition in a few months. I highly recommend that if you want more than the handyman mentality and general contractors who will just do whatever you tell them that you talk to Lonny.

Great company a d excellent work. Only issue is they had numerous projects going on at once and it took them awhile to actually finish the job.

Lonny kole is a very detailed person and I felt like he would provide the best service available for my bathroom project. We have not been disappointed.

Lonny and his team were so responsive and having a interior designer to help us select and a hands on project manager made all the difference. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality, fairly priced home inprovement project. I'm doing my kitchen next year and will being using them for this larger project

We hired Lonny for our basement remodel after we interviewed three contractors. He was always on time and extremely professional and courteous. After spending some time measuring out the basement, he offered some wonderful suggestions to the remodel and showed us several photos of his work. During the planning stage, he took the extra effort to tie in the extra details of style of trim/doors that we have on the main level and set up the same for the basement. Lonny and Debbie Kole delivered an outstanding home building experience and we are delighted with our new home. From the start of our discussions, Lonny maintained clear and open communications, letting us know what was happening at every step. He guided us on purchase decisions and helped us decide where to allocate our resources to get the most enjoyment out of our home. Lonny earned our trust and delivered excellent quality on time and on budget. Debbie gave us fantastic design input on paint/stone/tile and the results are amazing. Project is not finished but so far all has been great.

Kole Builder's team helped us with a design plan for our Master Bath remake. The process was plesant and all the staff were professional with our interests in mind. Construction followed and was on schedule every step of way. All the contractors contributed to a team effort, were polite and hard working. Our project manager communicated very well with scheduling and all changes that needed to be made. All in all we are quite pleased with the outcome.

I am very pleased with the work Kole Builders did in my home, and would highly recommend them. Their workers are very capable and certainly do a professional job .Have enjoyed working with Lonnie, Deborah and Phillip.

Communications from the contractor were slow and lacking in detail. The supervisor did not keep in touch as much as I needed and I often didn't know when workers were scheduled. The work was excellent except for the painters they used. The painters work was sloppy and had to be redone.

I would recommend Kole Builders and we will work with them again. The work is beautiful and we are extremely satisfied with the quality of work.. The project took a little longer than expected. Original plan was 8 days and took over two and half weeks.. We spent a little more than expected, but the result was beautiful. Every contractor involved in the poject was professional and curtious.

Lonny Kole asked questions to determine what our needs were. We wanted a dormer added to an unfinished space above the garage. Lonny made recommendations based on our input and were very pleased with the outcome. We plan on adding an addition to our home in the future and will definitely consider using Kole Builders again.

From our first meeting to the final inspection you were always on the same page with us. We appreciated your inputs to the master bathroom remodeling that complimented out vision. From start to finish you kept us in the loop as to where we were and what was happening next. On time, on budget and a master bathroom that when completed we could not be more pleased with.
