Arbor-Nomics was started in 1980 by Dick Bare who still runs the company. We have approximately 17,000 customers in the Atlanta area. You'll find the difference is in our technicians. The same team of technicians will treat your yard each time so you can get to know them and they can get to know your yard. They are all licensed and extremely knowledgeable about lawn, tree and shrub care and will be able to answer all of your questions. If there is ever a problem, you can call the owner directly. His phone # is on the website and in every newsletter we leave after each treatment.

After being longer term customers with Arbornomics and always paying in full and on time pre-emptively for the year ahead, we were greeted with a price increase. I called the office no less than 4 times over a 2 month span to discuss pricing for information sake before making payment and was consistently told the sales manager, Jeremy, would get in touch to discuss. After months of unresponsiveness, I spoke with a pleasant lady in a main office location, she apologized profusely, saw the many notes in my account where I tried to make contact and suggested I speak with Mr. Doug Cash (listed as VP of the company). Mr. Cash proceeds to call me and talk my ear off (if you speak with him you'll understand) consistently repeating himself, but offering to keep our current pricing due to the poor customer service we'd experienced and because of our loyalty to the company for years. He CLEARLY instructs me to call the office and make payment over the phone with one of the girls who handle the admin aspects of the company. When you think of making payment over the phone, what common sense medium do you think of? Credit card perhaps? Also considering we'd paid via credit card every year prior, that's exactly what I did this time around. The young lady who takes my payment says she sees the price matching note in the system, happily takes my credit card payment and the first service of the year is set up and eventually conducted. One day, Mr. Cash decides to call me, and with his loud, brash manner states, "I told you, you can ONLY pay by cash or check if you want to sign up again! You're going to have to call the office and pay that way and not by credit card!" I'm sorry, but what kind of strange and suspicious situation is that and when was that ever mentioned? I tell him I'm sorry but payment has already been made (as it always has been) and that I'm not comfortable paying in cash. He begins to raise his voice even louder, says I can do things his way or my property won't be serviced and states his company will be audited and in hot water if I pay via credit card. RED FLAG right there. He gets more heated when I'm not on board paying cash and he hangs up on me! The VP has a tantrum and hangs up? No thanks. This is the kind of situation that proves everything happens for a reason. I escalated the entire situation to the President, Josh Bare, and he simply heard me out, apologized and that was that. I had no expectations Mr. Cash would be stopped from doing the same thing again. We moved our customer loyalty to a competitor, got better pricing, professional/consistent service and our lawn has never looked better.

After being a customer for 8 years, these guys attempted to increase my rate by over 20% two years in a row, while level of service has gone down noticeably. They will automatically come back out for more treatments and bill you after paying a bill. I informed them I no longer wanted them coming to my house and informed them I would not pay my final bill until receiving confirmation they would stop coming and billing me. After more than a week and a phone call from them offering to "only" raise my bill by 13% (which I declined), I finally got confirmation from them of cancelling service. I then paid my bill within 1 week time of that confirmation (matching their responsiveness). And now several weeks later, I have a bill from a collection agency with another 28% upcharge on top. Your business practices are despicable.

In September of 2018, our property suffered a catastrophic disaster from an application of an herbicide by one of the new technicians that worked for Arbor-Nomics. We had been doing business with them for many years but shortly after that application we began that everything that application touched was starting to turn brown and die. I immediately called Arbor-Nomics to ask for their help and was informed that I was not the only one who had the same misapplication with the same result. Doug Cash immediately came over and announced that they as a company would do everything in their power to correct the issue no matter the cost. Considering it was the fall of that year and some of the plants we wouldn’t know the effect of the misapplication until this past Spring I was more than happy to give him a chance, reluctantly. I can say that Doug took every call, responded to ever message and supplied for and paid for every plant that needed to be replaced. I was so impressed by his customer service that I swore he’d have my continued business should this continue. I am happy to report that here we are 1.5 years after this terrible mistake and in many ways the property looks better than it did before the mishap. Arbor-Nomics and their team worked overtime on our issue. They completely understand the meaning of customer service and will go out of their way to do as they committed to do. A big thank you to Doug Cash, V.P. Arbor-Nomics for your efforts. To Nick Grosse of LBN Services for your help in replanting and replacing lost plants and ideas on replacements and to Rick Smith, owner of The Pruning Guru for your attention to detail and help in figuring out what had happened. Without all of you the result would not be what it is today. For those of you who chose to find a different vendor it’s your loss. Thank you too Matt for being the Technician assigned to our route. You’ve been terrific!

We have been very pleased with our Certified Landscape Specialist, Shane out of the Marietta Arbor-Nomics office location. We are so happy Shane is assigned to us! He is treating multiple neighbors on our street and lots in our neighborhood. Shane clearly has vast industry knowledge and great customer service to go along with his expertise. We cant wait for Shane to get our yard to the next yard of the month as he has done with so many others in our neighborhood. The office staff is always polite and responsive and Caleb in the sales department was great to work with. Caleb even still today responds within minutes to any request we have. All around a great experience and highly recommend if you want to join the yard of the month club.

I am well into my second prepaid contract with Arbor-Nomics, but my yard looks as though my house is abandoned. Grass is just beginning to grow, but the weeds are in full force and show no evidence of letting up anytime soon. I have called Arbor-Nomics multiple times to have the technicians retreat my yard. They come back, but the results are the same. One reason there is little progress in ridding my yard of weeds is because techs rush through the treatments. I even commented to one tech about the speed at which they spray my yard. There is no way they are covering my entire lawn. The tech mentioned something about efficiency. Maybe technicians are paid based upon the number of yards they visit, but efficiency should not mean half doing the job at hand. Apparently, something is going wrong, and my yard is proof. A telephone rep told me the weeds were bad because of the amount of rain we had. Well, my neighbors' yards receive the same amount of rain, yet there is no comparison between their yards and mine. They have few to zero weeds, while my yard is overrun. I have already gotten a warning from my HSA about the weeds. What am I paying Arbor-Nomics for?

Their product is wonderful, but the service was poor. I was not happy with the service their employees provided so I had to end up firing them. They would spray the product on the lawn but if they saw a weed, they just left it there. I was not at all satisfied with their service.

I LOVE ARBORNOMICS! I am a retired Lanscape Artist, and my yard was suffering due to my procrastination!! I hired Arbornomics, and a few short months later I can see an miraculous change! I am more than satisfied! Chad, the manager in my area, has been attentive and efficient!

I wanted to share the horrible experience not only that I have had this year with Arbornomics but others in my neighborhood so be careful when trusting this rating on Angie's list. Not sure how Angie's list vets it companies but have been extremely disappointed with the level of service and lack of response on issues based on an "A" rated Angie's list company, perhaps they need to re-evaluate how they measure because there is no way this company should be an "A". I have had numerous conversations with my tech this year about the lack of growth and color in my bermuda lawn, initially my tech thought I had a zoysia lawn. I showed my tech pictures I took in the early morning of fugus (the little spider web looking areas) and he insisted that it wasn't fungus, I pay them for their fungicide program which clearly wasn't working. Then I went on to talk to his supervisor who went on to tell my that my tech was new and not to be too **** ** him but that things would get better. The sup said he would come out later that week and check on my yard, he never showed or even bothered to follow up with me. After yet another conversation with my tech he agreed to schedule a 15 day follow up for fertilization to help improve the color of my lawn. 15 days came and went so about 3 weeks later I called him and he said that he would come the following week so my 15 day follow up turned into my regular monthly visit and still nothing changed. A number of neighbors in my development got together to share similar stories and one of us called up again which resulted in some experienced tech coming out and telling us how all these yards were not looking as they should and he would develop specific plans to improve with specific directions to be followed including the use of granular fertilization and not just spray which it seems was all they were doing. Someone was suppose to come back out within a week to address, only a few of my neighbors did and I had to wait for my regular monthly visit. I also have dying bushes in my yard which I have never had issues with before but I haven't been able to get anyone to address that issue either. I could go on but hope this shows how poor of an experience I have had and the lack of response I have received, I surely hope that Angie's list will re-evaluate there rating as I would hate for others to be treated this poorly as well.

"We deserve an "F" for this client as we had a new technician caring for it who was inadequately experienced and trained. There were service issues that got by us and the lawn didn't look like it should. This gracious individual has agreed to stay with us as we have removed the technician and put an experienced mature tech in who understands what this client wants. Greg Johnson, the branch manager in Marietta will also be monitoring the progress on this account. Hopefully after next spring we will deserve an "A" like we usually get on these review sites. All of our reviews are true and honest and we have checked with all the neighbors to make sure they are all happy with our service.
