NEWNAN LIGHTING

Description of Work: We found a crystal chandilier at Newnan lighting that we both liked. It was hanging in the reduced/ sale section because it was a display piece out of box. It was priced at $1,400. It stated that the original price was around $2,000. We purchased the chandlier and the company was supposed to take the chandlier down and box it up for us to take home within a day or so. We never received a call from them for a week and a half. During the meantime, we went to Progressive lighting and saw the same chandlier for $1,100. It was brand new, in a box, with a certificate. Since we had never received our chandlier, we called Newnan Lighting that day and told them to cancel our order and that we would be by to pick up our check. They informed us that the owner needed to call us first, and that our chandlier was boxed and ready to go all of a sudden. He promised to call that day, which he didn't. We called several days after that and he never returned our call until a week later. At one point when we called, the female sales associate screamed and yelled at my husband and was very rude and unprofessional. When we finally reached the store owner, he informed us that he was going to charge us 20% to reself the chandlier even though they did not take the chandlier down till a week and a half later after we called to cancel. We had never picked the chandlier up nor took it home. It stayed in the store the entire time. It was not a special order so there was NO reason for this exorbiant charge. We cut our losses and took a refund minus the 20% so that we could get the same chandlier that was brand new, in the box, with a warranty. This company has VERY BAD customer service, and they are liers claiming that chandlier was a mark down when it really wasn't. I will never use them again nor recommend them to anyone.
