A-OK HOME INSPECTONS

The inspector's wife---who is also an inspector, she said-- is the only person with whom I spoke, both when scheduling the inspection and again when I called to confirm. Her husband may very well be professional and adept, but I will never know; it is her unprofessionalism during both calls--from start to finish--which brought up the "red flag" for me. (I am surprised by that, because I started the call with, "I found you on Angie's List", so one would think she would be "on her best behavior".) The initial conversation (the prior week) I wrote off as possibly a bad day for her. Twice, though, on two different weeks during two different times of day, was enough for me to cancel. I do not like to say negative things, however, I rely on Angie's List as I know all of us here do, so it is my "civic duty" in a way to report whether good or not-so-good. Must I go into more detail, though? I would rather not impede their privacy and simply state that my impression after both phone conversations is that she is perhaps wearing "too many hats". I would rather support those who take the customer more seriously. I thought I would pay more by choosing someone else--this husband-and-wife duo is inexpensive--and was willing to, but will not, with "If Walls Could Talk". Only slightly more, and I am happy to. I will review after I.W.C.T. (Darryl Nelson) conducts our inspection.
