I had hired Philip and his team back in April of 2021 to replace faceboards on my home and to touch up my deck (lag bolt it to home, fill gaps with some extra wood I had leftover, and reinforce it.) Him and his team came out , replaced the faceboards and walked me around the deck to show me the reinforcements. Everything looked good at a glance. The new faceboard was on and painted, the deck was lag bolted to the house, the posts they added seemed alright, and the gaps (appeared) to be filled. Two and a half weeks later , almost half the gutter is hanging off. Thankfully he sent someone out to put it back on. Some months pass and Im just inspecting the deck(my mistake I know). The gaps they "filled" , the new pieces of wood installed were already prying up, they werent even nailed in. The posts they added to reinforce the deck are sitting on small red bricks on the dirt, but the dirt moves when it rains so now theres pointless floating posts under the deck. November 19th, I told Philip about the deck and i explained the wood was not nailed and is prying up , he said he'd be back in a week to fix it...He kept saying the same thing every week, putting it off for over a month(he never showed up). My next message, sent December 22nd, after that month, I mentioned the pointlessly installed posts under my deck (which I provided the material) and his response was " if I move the bricks then of course you'll have floating posts", how does that reinforce anything if the brick simply slides out from under the post, or why even install a post on top of a brick ? Then he said "he ate the cost on labor as a favor to me." (Cutting posts and nail gunning them to the deck.) Of course He said he would come by and handle these two issues with the deck for me, almost a week later still no reply. I end up texting him on the 25th wishing him a merry Christmas and told him "don't even worry about it." In which he almost immediately replies "merry Christmas, 10-4" . Which absolutely blew me away... The final issue was actually this year in March. Now keep in mind I had been in this house for years, gutter was connected to the old weak faceboard just fine , and withstood any storm that hit it. A storm hits in March and my whole gutter falls off and is damaged beyond repair, I inspect it and notice the screws were tiny, maybe an inch. So when they put the gutter back up, they used small screws, they were maybe an inch... So I obviously had to pay to get a new gutter. At least the faceboard is good... They were nice to deal with at first until you start pointing out issues, so if you go with this company just be sure you thoroughly inspect the work for as long as you need to before paying or before they leave the job site. Wouldn't recommend this company. 2 stars just because the faceboard is still up..
