Whispering Oaks Kennels

I can't say enough amazing things about Whispering Oaks Professional Dog Training. I sent my rambunctious 100 lb lab for 3 weeks of training and am in awe of the transformation in him because of the training. Prior to the training, our dog was dangerous to take on walks because he would drag me down the street if he saw something he wanted to visit. He also jumped on people and I could not control him. This is after I had completed a local puppy training class and paid for local private training sessions. In our house he pushed the other dogs out of the way and really acted like he was the boss of me. Since our training at Whispering Oaks, our dog is now a polite and easy member of our family. I just easily walked him for 30 minutes without issue. He respects me and my house is calm again. Also, Mike and his team at Whispering Oaks are extremely responsive. When I have had questions I have received a call back right away. They take their time to make sure my questions are answered and have easy to follow suggestions. My dogs three week training at Whispering Oaks was money well spent. I will do it again with our next dog and will recommend them to anyone with a new dog.

Mike Sinteff did a great job training my rescue dog, Remington. He learned all his basic commands and Mike went over everything with me after the training. I recommend him highly!

They very thoroughly trained our dog, and then provided us with several hours of training when we went to pick him up after two weeks. We do have to follow up with our own continuation of the training at home for approximately six weeks, but they are on a call for any questions.

When we dropped off our 5 month old Cavachon, we were greeted by one of the trainers and welcomed to Whispering Oaks.  We had to travel out of state, which is why we chose to board her with the Sinteffs.  While we were away, Teresa was kind enough to call and give us updates on our dog's progress.  Whispering Oaks offers a "Train the Trainer" session when you pick up your dog, which was excellent!  Mike spent 2 1/2 hours explaining the philosophy behind the training, showing us how to use the commands our dog had learned, and answering any questions we had.  We have a new dog!  She is obedient, has good manners, and most importantly, is house broken! :-)
I would highly recommend Whispering Oaks Kennels for boarding and training.  The staff cares for your pet as if he/she was theirs.  The dogs are not kept in a sterile environment; they are welcomed into the Sinteff's home.  We have never had a pet professionally trained before and were hesitant to spend the money to do so.  However, I believe it was worth every cent and will allow us to enjoy our dog for the rest of her life in ways we've never been able to do with any of our previous pets.  We now have the dog we always dreamed of!  Thank you, Mike and Teresa!!!

Mike and Teresa and their trainers did the impossible.  In 3 short
weeks, they turned my adorable out of control 4lb Westie "demon" into an
angel.  It took a little extra time because she is decidedly willful,
but I am so thrilled to say that the puppy I picked up is NOT the same
as the one I dropped off.  She is the adorable creature that I craved.  I
cringed thinking of choke collars, kennels etc, but Mike and Teresa
helped me understand the psychology of dogs. So now I am the ALPHA dog -
not my adorable reformed demon.  When we walk on a leash she stops and
sits when I stop.  She sits - stays on command and I can walk away an
other distractions can come into play.  They also help me understand why
crating is needed during the puppy developmental process as their
system matures, so must their control.  I adored my puppy before but now
it is TRUE LOVE.  I know it is on me to do the follow up work, but I
could have NEVER done this on my own, their train the trainer turn over
provided me the tools and some practical experience.
