I paid nearly $4000 for new sod, grading, and property cleanup in April 2012. After the first 60 days post sod installation
the grass was dying out in several areas. I requested that Blayz remedy the situation and was told the grass needed more time to root and it was extremely ?slow growing grass? (Jamur Zoysia). The grass never rooted in sections and completely died out in numerous areas resulting in a patchy poor looking yard. I asked again in March 2013 (under the 1 year warranty coverage) for the grass to be replaced under the sod warranty I was given and was told nothing but excuses. There were several visits to the property which resulted in an attempt to remedy with fertilizer and sand to assist with rooting which did not remedy the situation. Despite being given a warranty for the sod, they would not honor it nor offer any new remedy for my dead grass other than being told its my problem. Blayz Turf Pro blamed the grass condition on ?poor drainage? and ?standing water? at my property despite paying Blayz $500 for grading to improve the drainage at the time of sod installation.
As a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Georgia, I specialize in stormwater design on all types of properties. Being told by a landscaper that there assessment of the spotty lawn was due to standing water and poor drainage resulting from their work does not concur with my professional licensed expertise.
They claim to be a highly reputable company whom stands behind their work which couldn?t be further from the truth given my horrible customer experience and their shoddy work. With their inflated prices, I expected substantially better customer service.
If you are looking for a landscaping contractor, do not hire Blayz Turf Pro. Blayz Turf Pro has qualified themselves to my forever ?Never Hire? contractor list. Bad bad bad customer service from a company their doesn?t honor their warranty, promises, or care about their customers.
