Daniel did some work for me last fall at very reasonable rates and impressed me as a hard worker when he did show up but even then, I was disappointed many times when the weather was perfect, that he didn't show up. He almost finished the job in the fall with a waiting period (while new boards cured) until he was to return and stain all the new wood. He didn't just show up to do the work so I contacted him and, in the process of discussing the remaining work from our first contract, he and I agreed on some extra work, some of which he did. I made the mistake of paying him $950 of a total of $1375. He failed to buy the materials (6 gallons of Sherwin Williams stain and boards) and to do the work of replacing, staining, and eventually, washing all windows. I have totally given up on his honoring his word and contract and will have to start over on a pretty big project. He has been reported to the Walton County magistrate's court and has had several experiences similar to what I have described with other people.
Description of Work: Daniel Pike, of Uniquely Southern, contracted with me to do various house up-keep type jobs with the main work being removing boards from my deck, replacing and staining and, afterward, wash all windows. He used every excuse for not showing up to work on the projects over a period of months and finally just said he wasn't coming back. He owes me 6 gallons of Sherwin Williams stain, several boards, and a refund for not staining boards which he did replace and window washing. I have contacted him by telephone, email and also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. My next action will be filing a civil suit against him for damages. He has been told of my intentions and still doesn't respond.
