Gus was responsive and great at communicating. He showed up on time as expected. He quoted and charged me a fair price for the work and it turned out great.

Gus remodeled our guest bathroom; removing a tub and installing a shower was just a part of it. Good workmanship at a fair price. Before he started, he said he might have to replace some subflooring and he was correct. We had some supply chain problems and couldn't get exactly what we wanted so he went into high gear to help us find something better and we are very happy with the improvements over our original plan. The plumber Gus hired even changed a kitchen faucet that wasn't part of the original job. Gus did such a great job, just this week I gave his name and number to a friend who needs a new kitchen floor. Gus even recommended another contractor to replace some lumber on the exterior of my back porch and we were happy with that contractor also.

Gus and company did a great job - would rate 5 stars but they missed grouting an area and could not get them to come back. Their workmanship is great!

I thought I would share a more up to date review. 2019 Overall, this company did a beautiful job and had great ideas building an easily accessible shower for my dad who is suffering from Alzheimer. However, they did not stick to the price I was quoted. Right before we were to pay the final balance, they increased the total by $1,100 with no prior notice. I felt that, if extra things were needed, we would have been given an idea of how much the increase would be before the work was done. After most of the work was completed, I found obvious sloppy errors. For example, the shower wall was not built straight and he gave us push back on trying to fix it basically he told us it's built and that's it., there was a chipped tile installed in the middle of the bathroom entrance, and a large cracked title near the sink. They did fix these issues the day after I notified them, but not without irritated comments overheard from a Gus and his son. Lastly, they removed the threshold between my closet and the bathroom and misplaced it and blamed it on us and said we threw it away, and after we brought this issue to light things became extremely difficult just to have it installed back. He just asked me to deduct 100.00 from the final numbers which we were okay with that. He also spray painted our drain cover to match our shower fixtures and when I told him that the spray paint was immediately scraping off he told us he was done with his job and would not fix it. Basically told us that was not part of the work scope. I do not understand how a drain cover is not part of the bathroom. We would have been okay with an unmatching silver cover instead of spray painting a drain cover since he mentioned they were out of stock of bronze covers. We wanted just a clean job for my dad who suffers from Alzheimer's Unfortunately, dad cannot speak for himself so he took advantage of us. They did a pretty job, but I was not impressed with their level of customer service.

Gus and his son installed a back splash at my home and also at my mother's. They did a fantastic job! They started when they said they would and cleaned up when they left. I would highly recommend them.

Gus did a great job !!! Very professional and courteous and always on time.. Never left a mess. Told me day to day what was going to be done. Along with the floor, he retiled my entire shower stall. Even the shower door estimator said what a beautiful job I had done !! Extremely satisfied with Gus and his work! Would recommend him to everyone !!! Have his business card filed for future use !!!

I wish the other homeadvisor.com recommended companies were half as responsive as Gus was. He showed up when he said he would, he did quality and timely work and left a clean work site. Thank you Gus.

Gus did an excellent job

Prompt, professional, on time and affordable. Gus did a small kitchen back splash installation and did a beautiful job. He arrived when he said he would, took as long as he said he would and cleaned up well upon completion. Highly recommend G&S Tile and Marble.
