They told me they could do the job and would do it for the price that the insurance company gave me. As soon as I selected a different type of roofing material they told me it would cost more than the insurance company would have paid. It was about another $1,000. I asked them since their name was American Home Exteriors did they have Americans working on their crew and they told me they were all legal residents and could do the work for me. The first delivery of roofing material that came was the wrong material. It sat for a while until the new material came and it took 3 months to get my roofing work done. Then it turned out they were going to subcontract the roofing work since they could not put a crew together composed of legal residents. They told me they could not assure me that their subcontractor used legal residents. They kept giving me a song and dance about this and as it turned out there was not a single American citizen on their crew. It seemed like the work they did was okay, but while they were doing the roofing they did not have enough material to finish the roof. But they did get enough of the same shingles to finish the job. They did the job in 2-1/2 days and the quality of finished work was good. It took them a while to do the chimney work and they were confused about how many chimneys I wanted done so they took the price up on that too. I also wanted them to quote putting a new bannister on my deck, but they never quoted it. They were here bright and early and they left late. They seemed very professional.
Description of Work: I used American Home Exteriors to roof my house. I also had them repair and paint my two chimneys before they did the roofing work.
