Mr. Collins ended up getting a lot of money to restore our home, but only did part of the work and did not pay his subcontractors. We have had to find another contractor, electrician and plumber along with other people to get our house back together. The money Mr Collins stole from us and the insurance company is having to come from our pockets.
Description of Work: Mr. Collins was suppose to restore our home after a house fire. He cut corners, half did repairs, did not pay his subcontractors, did not purchase required materials and stole the money for the repairs. Mr. Collins did seem as though he knew what he was talking about, but as time went on and work was not being done, his position became obvious. The work that he did do, we had to hire someone else to get it done correctly such as grouting the floor to the wall and installing our kitchen cabinets. Our cabinets were so uneven, the molding could not be installed without the cabinets being redone. The electrician that was subcontracted by Mr Collins was not paid, therefore, he only did part of our home and we had to hire someone to come in and install light fixtures and re-check the water heater. The kitchen countertops were measured wrong, so upon a 3 week delivery, we had to turn around and get them reordered, then installed. The plumber was not paid, so we had to hire someone to come in and install our kitchen sink upon completion of the countertops. He received monies for a replacement front door, two screen doors and three double paned windows, but the materials were never bought. He removed siding from two windows he did replace, but did not reinstall the siding. The outside of my windows are horrible. The one door he did buy does not secure properly, which was pointed out to him numerous times, but still does not close correctly. The siding around the entire house will have to be redone because it is falling off the walls. He was paid to paint our garage, but only did a closet. He has half did everything in our home that he was suppose to repair and it will take more time and money to get others to do what he has gotten the money to do and it is not fair,
