After arriving at the location before my scheduled appointment, I submitted my paperwork. Upon reviewing what I had completed, the receptionist indicated that they required a social security number for insurance purposes. I did not want to provide my social security number but let them know that my insurance company did not require a social security number. I escalated to the office manager and she also insisted on a social security number because it was required for insurance billing so, at that point, I got the insurance company on the phone and let their representative speak with the office manager. The insurance company indicated to the office manager that they did not require a social security number and do not want their members to provide the SSN. At that point, the office manager mentioned to the insurance company representative in such a way to make sure that I heard that it did not matter because collecting the SSN was their policy. So, their original reason for insisting on collecting a social security number had been proven to be false but they would not back down. In the end, I did not provide a social security number and they refused to see me. The doctors in this practice probably do not realize that collecting social security numbers from their patients exposes them to potential liability if one of their employees decides use this information for nefarious purposes. There have been countless documented situations of identity theft that was found to have originated in doctor's offices. Most private insurers have moved away from the practice of requiring social security numbers and the walnut creek family practice should take a close look at their policy before they find themselves exposed to potential liability. In the meantime, I cannot recommend this practice to friends and family.

I have been a patient here for several years. No other physician's office has availability like Walnut Creek. Saturday and Sunday or late during the week are typically when you need to see a doctor unless its a scheduled visit. You can walk in if needed. Its a modern business model and very convenient. The only negative is in the event you or you insurance hasnt paid for the last visit, you may not be seen which is probably how I would arrange it however it is annoying when you find out when you are checking in. As for care - no complaints. I have brought my kids in for strep tests and a variety of injuries and since they are open on the weekend you can typically avoid the emergency room.

I like him. He takes time with me. The staff is nice. Regarding availability, they are always there. Sometimes, you have to wait. Sometimes, you don't.

We really like them and they have a great bedside manner. They're very good at what they do and take enough time to listen to your problems. They're not just pushy but they're trying to get you well. They did a survey about cash basis to become a member and so to have an access to the doctor. They're extremely good.

They're very caring. They make sure you're seeing the right people. They are professional.

He is a great doctor and he takes the time to find out what your situation is. He had the nurse call me and let me know that my blood work was ready. They went ahead and sent me the results rather than making me come in. I have no issues and his performance is great.

He is very thorough and personable. If there is something he can't do, he refers you to the correct person. He is also able to catch things before they become a larger problem.
