Started out fair and got worst over time.

Grass was left all over my back porch. Edge wasn't even and neither was grass. Lawn mower banged and sraped paint off my house. They didn't take responsibility for the damage. They said I did it. Little did they know, they were the first and only time that grass was cut. I hadn't cut grass at all. Sorry company.

I wanted Vivid to simply trim back the bushes and ornamental trees in my front and side yards--a one-time service.  Vivid sent me an invoice for $190, which I paid and for what I thought was a really reasonable price. Within two weeks, I received another invoice for $190. My husband called and inquired about the invoice and was told it was for lawn care service, which we had not requested. My husband asked them to stop coming to our property. I paid the invoice although I should not have done so. Within a few weeks, I received another invoice for $190. This time, I called Vivid and was told that I need to submit a written request to cease services--for which I had not requested. I promptly did so and they "stopped" providing services.
In my opinion, I believe Vivid schedules recurring services that are not requested to force individuals to pay for services render. I would not recommend Vivid's services to anyone.

Vivid Lawns LLC are totally useless. I told not to ever bother coming back. I had these huge, tall bushes that were about 10 ten feet tall. I wanted them to trim them back and they totally butchered them. We had other bushes we wanted taken down, and they said they would do them, but they never did. We ended up having to take them down ourselves, and it took us all weekend. We had also hired them to cut the grass two or three times before that. The price would have been good, if they had done what they said they were going to do. He was punctual the first time he came out here, but late the second time and didn't bother to tell me he was going to be late. He butchered the bushes and didn't trim them in any kind of shape or anything. He never came back to trim the rest and he just stopped calling me back. Maybe he got to busy. I called their office and the lady in the office was extremely nice. She was very, very nice and kept apologizing and asked if there was anything she could do to fix it. I told her it was too late, because we did everything ourselves.

Started job in April '13 with timeline for completion approx. 8 weeks max. About half way through, workers began to not show up on a regular basis, dragging well by our deadline.  Multiple errors were made that had to be corrected, including painting the bar "peach" instead clear cedar stain, which all had to be removed, putting things further behind. By June workers stopped showing up at all and contractor, Josh Allin, stopped responding to my phone calls and text messages. He finally showed up weeks later to say that he had underbid the job and was out of money. Despite that, he said he would finish the job as he could afford to - we even offered to meet him half way on the overage.  For the rest of the summer one guy would come and go occasionally and do a little work at a time - by the end of the Summer the bar was not finished. To top it off, one of the last major jobs was to clean and seal the stone counter tops - the worker used muriatic acid to clean the counter tops (overkill??) and in the process ruined all of the stainless steel fixtures - cabinet fronts, sink, etc. in the bar. He was supposed to come back the next day to seal the counter tops, but never showed up again.  There was no response to my attempts to contact Josh Allin to remedy the situation.  In addition, our property was damaged in the process of construction, including creating large indentions in the stucco trim surrounding our basement windows from leaning heavy stone against them, as well as removing paint stains on our pool surface by literally digging them out (instead of removing them), so we have several divots around the pool; also, nails and other debris were found in the bottom of the pool, creating rust stains that we have been unable to remove on the bottom of the pool.  Josh Allin has done lots of work for us in the past that has been high quality, and until now has always been a complete professional (if not always prompt, and a little pricey).  We are stunned by his unprofessional behavior, and the fact that we have an unfinished project and damage in our back yard and he won't own up to it.  We will NEVER use his landscaping services again.

UPDATE: This is an amendment to our previous 1/2013 post -- we have now noticed that the lovely flagstone patio installed by Vivid Lawns around our pool area is decaying -- the entire surface sealing is pealing off, along with thin layers of the flagstone. The entire surface will need to be refinished.

Fabulous company. They are honest and have very good pricing.
