I contacted Big Dog and spoke with Chris about an estimate to cut the top out of a holly tree next to my house.  Chris arrived when scheduled and gave me an estimate to remove the top of the tree and clean up when they had finished.  They were able to come sooner than we had arranged and the job was completed very quickly.  Before they left, the area was cleaned and you really could not tell they had even been there.  I was amazed at how simple they made what to me would have been a very big headache to do myself.  I highly recommend BIG DOG when you have a tree problem on your property.

It's a tight neighbor hood, with a lot of fences around. They dropped the tree piece by piece, and hauled it to the street to a waiting truck. They came back in and ground the stump and cleaned up their mess. 
 They worked fast and were courteous. Good folks.

Getting them out to do an estimate was the only problem I had with them. I started in May and after 3 contacts, it was August before they came out. The only reason I let them do it, was because I had used them 2 years ago and they did such good work. When they came for the estimate, the gentleman apologized for the delays and gave me a really good price (discount) on the job. When I agreed to let them do the work, they came out within two weeks. All of their workers are very courteous and work hard. They had to take down part of a fence to get the equipment in the back yard and they reinstalled it when completed. They did a good job of cleaning up afterwards.

They came buy and cut two tall pine trees sand ground the stump were you couldn't see their ever was atree there. Each tree was 500 bucks. Called them back for one more tree removal, the same type of tree tall skinny pine,and they want to charge 1,100 . No way

The crew arrived on time, well organized and very team oriented. The interaction and explanation of the procedure was satisfactory. During the process, all limbs were quickly removed from blocking any part of the street and the area was blown clear of any debris continuously. Cutting and removal of the maple tree was done surgically and exacting even though there was a high fence and a house in the area, with little room to maneuver. Cleanup was excellent.

I called Big Dog on a Tuesday for a free estimate; someone came out to my home that afternoon; he gave me an estimate for $1k (which was the exact same quote that I received from two other companies), but instead of waiting weeks as with the other companies, the Big Dog representative said they could be out to my house the next morning (Wednesday) at 8:00a.m
The entire workforce (trucks, grinders, cranes, climbers, bobcats, and workers) were lined up in front of my house, and a few of my neighbors..... but they did NOT block anyone's driveway) at 7:57a.m !
They stuff all their large equipment into my yard, began to work, and everything was complete within 2 hours....this includes the clean-up time.

Very professional crew, prepped the pool area to accommodate heavy equipment that was needed for back property. Excellent service, clean-up, promptly arrived at time designated and work was completed start to finish in less than half a day. 4-5 man crew... The men that pruned the trees were amazing... Climbing up the trees and pruning by hand while tethered and secured by a spotter on the ground - all safety measures in place. We are very satisfied with their service. Impressed with their expertise and arborist that advised on health of some of the trees and how to care for them. All the limbs, brush, cuttings were cleaned up and mulched on site by their big truck. We will definitely use their service again !!!

About 1/3 of a 30-foot tree in my front yard had fallen and blocked the street in front of my house in the 'burbs. I called BIg Dog about 8 am and the supervisor arrived in 15 mins to provide an estmate to remove the entire tree for 500 dollars. A couple of hours later, half a dozen guys showed up with three trucks, a bobcat, and a mulcher and got to work clearing the street, cutting down the rest of the tree and grinding the stump level. One hiccup: a falling branch struck a cable strung between the house and the utility pole, but no damage. They got the job done quickly for a fair price.

The tree was in a high risk place (close to house and power lines, near gas line) and there were no complications. The tree was removed and now looks like it was never there. No debris or trash was left onsite.

Excellent job. Arrived as promised, assessed the situation and listened to my concerns and performed the job without questions, removed offending branches, cleaned up afterwards. The wintry weather did not permit an earlier response, but that is understandable.
