hardwood floor
 + -1 moreThe installers not only left materials (nails, scrap materials, redi-mix cement, fast-food trash) on my lawn, but they raided my pantry and refrigerator. Then they left that trash on my lawn. The installers apparently did not have their own tools because they used mine, getting flooring adhesive on two of my power saws. Wellington Silva, apparently the owner, then harassed me for payment, even on a weekend starting the day the job was completed. Do yourself a favor and don't even ask this horrible outfit for a quote. This is by far the worst contracting outfit I've ever come across.
Description of Work: Installation of hardwood flooring. The job performed was terrible. I believe they skimped on adhesive, as several areas are definitely not glued down and floor moves when stepped on. Long stretches of flooring area show that the floor wasn't laid straight either. Glue was left on top of the wood surface, which I still haven't been able to fully remove. Oversized quarter-round molding was used, which is totally out of scale with the baseboards. This is I assume and fear because a large gap was used near the walls. The wood is the ''engineered'' variety and doesn't require much of a gap at all, so either they're lousy installers or they don't know flooring. Gaps exist between boards, which cannot be fixed. Overall a terrible job. I would have been much better served by installing the floor with zero experience by myself.
