Avoid this company! They charged us $400 up front, and we received nothing in return (other than $150 refund after a number of complaint phone calls). An individual came out 3 or 4 times in a 2 week period, and we saw NO RESULTS. He set up traps, assured us the “dead rat” in our wall would decay and the smell would disappear using some type of spray, and assured us there were no entrances to our house that needed to be sealed. He couldn’t have been MORE WRONG. We hired someone else who charged us the same amount; however, this guy solved ALL of our problems. He removed the excrement from our wall; therefore, eliminating the smell, disinfected the wall, cleaned/disinfected our entire attic (which was covered in feces the first guy never mentioned), and sealed up FOUR spots on our house where the rodents were entering. Do NOT use this company!

Mr. Elliot came out to help remove a live skunk from my backyard, after it had sprayed the dogs and one corner of the yard/fence. He was very professional and knowledgeable about skunks and searched all of the back yard. He was delayed getting here due to a meeting in another town so the skunk was gone by then but he provided excellent tips on how to avoid and clean up after a skunk. I would not hesitate to use him again for this type of service.

They were very professional and knowledgeable and came out very quickly when I called them and we had a good line of communications.  I have also started up with their regular pest control service for my home.

After Casey left I called 911 Wildlife. Denice and Bonnie were extremely helpful. They explained that traps are not good for animals at this time in the summer. They explained more humane ways to extract the animal. They also said that there is no need to sterilize the interior of the chimney since raccoons in Texas do not carry such diseases. They said that they would have extracted the racoon for $260. They sent Robert to my home that night to remove the trap since the animal would die in there in the Texas heat and set up their system to extract the animal (and turns out she has babies) safely from my home. I feel completely taken advantage of by Trutech. They are not honest and do not take a humane approach to animal removal. Be sure to call 911 Wildlife instead.
Response from Tru Tech
"There are many different approaches to nuisance wildlife removal and prevention. Trutech employs highly educated individuals (75% of our technicians hold biology or wildlife related degrees) and our technicians are trained to determine the necessary approach and professionally handle a wide range of wildlife conflict situations. We prepare for the worst possible scenario to prevent exposing a client or their pets to any type of health risk. It has been scientifically proven that raccoons in Texas may carry rabies, distemper, roundworm, giardiasis, and leptospirosus, just to name a few communicable dangers. These diseases and parasites are transferred not only through direct contact with the animal, but also through respiration and/or contact with urine, fecal matter, and other bodily fluids like blood and saliva. The danger of these risks is compounded in adolescents, unborn children, and the aged. Many other companies are not aware of these dangers and/or do not have the proper licensing to perform disinfecting treatments for viruses and bacteria. There are specific licensing requirements through the Texas Department of Agriculture to treat for common associated-pest, ecto-parasites like fleas and ticks. All Trutech technicians are licensed and trained to treat for parasites. The humane treatment of animals is of the utmost importance to our company. We routinely check our traps and also partner with each customer to be in contact with us if any animal is trapped prior to our return. Trutech believes that it is important to remove the individual animal, and take it to a licensed rehabilitator to be released out into the wild rather than irresponsibly dumping the animal and its young out into the neighborhood for someone down the street to deal with. Trutech is committed not only to educating customers about their problem but providing a comprehensive solution which includes animal removal, exclusion repairs to prevent re-occurring problems, and remediation to clean-up the aftermath of these animals. The solutions we provide are comprehensive and are backed by renewable warranties to guarantee satisfaction. When Trutech became aware of the customer’s desire to do business elsewhere their check was immediately returned to their front door the very same day."

My experience with them was not very good. The guy came out and charged $500.00 for trapping and $500.00 for exclusion. He did trap one squirrel. They just made a mess of my attic. The company said it was good for a year. I called within that year because squirrels were getting on my roof again. I was afraid that they had found a way in. He never called me back and now it is beyond a year. I left a detailed message asking him to call me and he never did. As part of the exclusion up under an eave, he put some sort of paint on something he covered over the hole and it was unsightly. I would not use them again.

He came to the house. Surveyed the area, and spotted the problems at the eves, and proceeded to check the fan from inside and outside. He got to the vent from the outside and removed the birds first, then the nest, and sealed the vent so that the birds cannot get back inside the vent. He also sealed the dryer vent. He went up to the eves, and cleaned out the nests and sealed off the areas so that sparrows are not able to get back there to build more nest. He took the birds to the wild-life reserve. Update 8/24/09: A month later I received another bill from the service for an extra $125, with no explanation of what services were rendered for this price. I'm not sure how this happened, and when I try to get in touch with them my messages aren't answered.
Response from Tru Tech
"The original credit card was run for the incorrect amount causing a bill to be automatically generated and sent out to the customer. When the mistake was identified the original paperwork was provided to the customer showing the original price for the service accompanied by the customer’s signature; on the very same day the complaint was called into our corporate office. Trutech has personnel answering the phone 24 hours a day (You will not get an answering machine when you call Trutech). The customer proceeded to pay the remainder of the original service price at our easy online credit card pay site the very same day."

When I called and explained the situation, I was given several different ways of dealing with the situation, and an estimated cost for each. I was also informed of some of the possible scenarios that they could find while dealing with the bees. The pest control guy was not available immediately, but we setup and appointment. It was delayed due to rainy weather, but the company did keep track of the changes and showed up when expected.
