My family has been in the building business since 1946 and we are a third generation contractor. We do the job RIGHT with quality installers and quality products at a FAIR price. We HATE high-pressure sales tactics. We LOVE explaining how our products are great and how they can improve your life and save you money. That's why we always give you a detailed bid and then step back, let you consider your options, and choose what you want to do. Other companies pride themselves on "One-call closes." If you want to buy on our first visit-wonderful! But if not, that's okay too! Fair warning: We may put in a higher bid than our competitors, but this does not mean we are the highest cost. In fact, one tactic in high-pressure sales is to low-ball you with an attractive price that they wont stick to and leaves out important specifications. Ever wonder why bids never match final bills? Liz and the entire team at Schantz recently completed exterior siding removal, new siding installation and painting at our house and did a fantastic job! We were confident from the start that things would go smoothly as communication was great, questions were answered quickly, and the professional & friendly manner of everyone made the project very smooth...The work was completed in line with the timeline given and the finished product looks fantastic! I would highly recommend Schantz and will certainly work with them again if needed. Great Job!

Greg and his team did an awesome job. He helped me find the exact windows I wanted that kept the historical look of the house. The roof looks awesome. I am glad Greg recommended the color of shingles he did. Their paint job was great too. At about the same time, I was having a front porch added to the house. Greg and his team came back after it was completed and finished the painting of it too. Fast forward to 3 years later. In a big rain storm one of my windows leaked. Greg came out the next day and repaired the problem. I 100% recommend Greg and his team.

This roofer does excellent work. His crew was punctual, polite, and professional. They covered our shrubs with tarp to ward off roof debris, did not damage my gutters, cleaned up after each visit, finished the job in 3 days. They magnetted up all nails at the conclusion of each visit.
The owner, Greg Schantz, oversaw each day's work progress. His project foreman was always onsite and kept in contact with Greg, and kept me well informed of each day's progress; at job's end, she did a walk-aound with us to point out how they had done what they had done at each roof location. They installed metal coverings over my curved-top dormer windows - excellent installation, looks great.
This was a GAF warranty replacement of an earlier GAF-warranted roof that was botched. GAF is the best roofing system/roofer in the county, with its 25-year Golden Pledge warranty!

Greg was by far the most detail oriented of the contractors I talked to, he took the time the explain many items that others did not even bring up. His office staff is top notch and kept us informed of any scheduling issues as this was a fairly involved project. One of the bigger issues was getting the proper ventilation for the roof. During a previous "roof tune up" performed by another contractor several years prior, we added another power fan, while it helped, two of them running almost full time in the summer added up to significant electricity use, sadly it also did not vent well enough either as the shingles showed the signs of inadequate ventilation. Greg created a completely new system to ventilate the roof, without the fans, the difference over the past 6 weeks is amazing, the interior of the home is cooler during the day and this has been during some of the hottest days of summer, plus my electric bill dropped by 35.00 in August. We have a 3200 square foot home and they brought in a big crew and the roof was done in 1 day they did a great job cleaning up afterwards as well. Our bay needed extensive work done as wood rot had gotten the best of it, it has been rebuilt the way it should have been done in the first place with materials that won't decay. The house looks great and we have a guarantee that we are very happy with. They weren't the least expensive contractor we talked to, but in the end the attention to detail won out, as the saying goes (author unknown), "good work is not cheap and cheap work is not good". I would highly recommend giving them consideration on a project you might be considering, we were very pleased and glad we chose them.

They completed the roof removal and installation in one day with some finish work a couple of days later. They followed up 2 days later with a second removal of nails from the property. They cleaned up all debris completely.

The crews were prompt, efficient, and great to work with. They did quality finish work on all areas and kept us apprised of any additional issues and problems. They even left the areas (back porch, side patio and front) much cleaner than they found them. We would use them again and highly recommend them. Greg Schantz has been a pleasure to work with.

I have used Schantz about three years ago for a roof repair on another part of the house, so I wasn't surprised by the efficiency and professionalism that Greg displayed this time. He showed up for the estimate on time, assessed the situation let us know his expectations on the outcome of the job and, sent over a very detailed estimate by email the next day. We had to delay the job slightly to work around my wife's work schedule (she works from home and the banging that was sure to ensue is not conducive to her work atmosphere.) no problem. We set it up and everything moved like clockwork from there. We were concerned about the forecast for rain that day. The morning looked like it would hold so we decided to move ahead. The work proved to be very challenging which Greg and his crew worked through without trouble. The job was finished about half an hour before the rain started. The finished job far exceeded my expectations in both look and performance.

We hired an engineer to perform a structural work up on your 1920's home and installed an entirely new roof support structure in your attic removing the 4-5" sag running the length of both sides of the structure. We installed new rafters and tie in for the rear low slope roof that had failed. We then installed the GAF Golden Pledge weather stopper roof system giving you a lifetime warranty on your home. Sorry - I had to expand on "some roofing work"... I'm glad the balance of your complete "gut" and renovation of your interior went well. I'm impressed with their integrity. The owner has excellent workers and subcontractors, he also owner oversees all the work, and he insures everything is done to perfection. He very much insists on top quality. He is very much into quality control. They were very punctual, and the owner was very good about explaining what things will cost. If the workers did not meet the owners standards, he would not keep them. He completed the work within the budget. He is honest, he even did not charge me for some of the work. I was so satisfied with his work I recommended him to my own relatives.

Mr. Schantz was well informed, provided great suggestions. Installers were very courteous and on time. Project finished on time. Made a difference of 30% on utilities with new windows.
