The job took approximately 2 months and was supposed to take 2 weeks. Instead of getting the necessary permits (he acknowledged his frustration with Milton permitting in the past) he added retaining walls so as not to exceed the maximum height and in the end they came out poorly spaced and sized. His deck man did apply for a permit but only after the paver portion was started so we spent several weeks waiting for the deck portion to start. Meanwhile they had cut off the bottom stairs off of the deck so we were without access to the yard (we have two dogs). The retaining walls are an eye sore and there is no softer way to say it. Two are rounded and the one in between them is more angular. We made a design change the day the owner came out to spray paint the position of things, asking that the new stone stairs go closer to walls, and he insisted that the design change caused the poor outcome. Yet at the time, he never said anything to that affect. We maintain that he as the professional should have advised that he would not have been able to maintain the quality. Instead, the plan kept changing getting worse with each change. The pavers are uneven and now water sits because they did not allow for proper flow. Red clay runs down the uneven stone stairs and collects on new paver walk way because they did not plan or allow for runoff and drainage. They used the wrong sand that binds the pavers when they came back to do more fill in so there were dark black blobs of sand on pavers that were originally bound with tan sand. The owner said nothing when he arrived to finally inspect the job (and to collect the final payment) and only acknowledged it after we pointed it out. Yet, he admitted that he did notice it when he first arrived. We never felt confident that what we agreed to was communicated to his crew and they did a lot of "good cop bad cop" when there were discrepancies - but rarely were our issues resolved. The stone steps are the greatest disappointment - They are uneven, different sizes, and not positioned properly. They are difficult for us and our guests to walk on. When we were evaluating the quotes, we gave him the job without checking references because he was a member of our church. Next time, we will check references because this experience was awful and sadly, all the money we spent feels wasted and our yard is definitely NOT something we are proud of. We have since hired landscapers to try to hide much of the stone work and retaining walls. The owner was unprofessional and the quality was fair to poor.

They did a good job but bad weather (snow and ice) came in while the work was underway. This hurt the overall quality of the final result. We asked repeatedly for them to come back out, but we never got a firm date for the repair. We even offered to fix it ourselves or even to pay for it, but still received no response.
We LOVED the original design and result seven years ago which was why we asked them to come out again. We are just disappointed that they will not follow up after many phone calls.

I used their services last week. I hire them annually and they come every week. It is 200 dollars per month. They do everything on the outside of the house. They do a lot! They have helped me on projects. They will take care of the shrubs, trees, landscape. It is a full service.

After writing the final check, you will never hear from this company. The work that POPS performed caused serious structural damage to my home and property. Be prepared to get the run around from POP's staff when you phone them about any issues/or concerns. These people know how to play the game.

Wish I had read reviews on Angie's List and Kudzu before hiring them and allowing them to come on my property.

Their price was reasonable. We were very pleased with them. They were very responsive. They fixed everything we had issues with. The workers were on time that they quoted on. They stuck to their quote. We will definitely use them again. I would say for the quality of the work they did the price was right on.

It went great! Dave originally drew up a beautiful plan as I wanted to do massive changes to our backyard like add a large stone seating area, firepit, and retaining wall. Almost a year later, we learned we were going to have to sell our house so I asked Dave if we could scale the plan down for resale. He did a fantastic job of helping us decide what really needed to be done and priced it all within our budget. My only suggestion for anyone doing ANY kind of contracted service is to get every thought down in writing. The company working on your home also has half a dozen other projects going on. I made the mistake of not writing down that I wanted the stones for the small patio spread far apart to plant grass in between them. If its not part of the checklist most likely it isn't going to get done. Overall the experience with Dave and his crew was very satisfactory. They were 100% willing to do whatever I asked the day they spent working on my backyard and were very professional.
