A representative came to the house to do an estimate and the fee was $29.00. The estimator clearly didn't know how to do estimates, spent 90 minutes at our home, and still no written estimate. Thumbing through a huge book and calling into main office numerous times. The partial estimate given was $1600 or "$900 if we bought a service plan with them". Other estimates for the same job came to $400. I asked the estimator to leave as he had been there 90 minutes and still wasn't done and we had an appointment. Other estimates took 10 minutes by other contractors. I informed the owner of these issues and the owner apologized that he had sent out a new untrained estimator and that he would refund our $29. We never did receive an estimate in writing as promised, not that it mattered. The verbal estimate was extremely high.

The technician had difficulty finding the correct size SE wire since the job was on Saturday and many stores were closed, so he was about 4 hours late. But after profusely apologizing, he performed the work quite quickly and it looked great upon completion.

This is the first time I've used Angie's List. I am a former small business owner so first I thoroughly reviewed reports (good and bad) submitted on AL, looking at it as a homeowner & as a business owner (especially the criticisms about pricing because I know how expensive it is to operate a legitimate business). I was so glad I chose to call Craftsmen--from my first chat with their office manager, who offered to work around my schedule that day & kept me informed about Roland's commitments & arrival time. I reviewed my priorities & everything that needed to be done, he immediately submitted what I considered to be a very fair price for all the items. Although it was after 5pm he quickly handled installing the thermostat so that I could finally regulate heat on the terrace level of the house,which had been a big concern. He returned the next morning @ the promised time & thoroughly attended to everything else. He was polite, clean, and NOT in a hurry to take my check & rush out.

Roland Gandy did a great job! He was very helpful and did the job just as I asked. I highly recommend him. Also, this company was the only one that I could get to come out the same day. Roland showed up exactly on time.

Job 1: Tony was very efficient & thorough from start to finish. Not much went undetected by him. I would definitely have Tony work on any of my electrical problems. I was very pleased with Tony's work. Job 2: The Wed. before Thanksgiving I moved to a new residence. I was told by the moving co. they would hook up my washer & dryer. When the movers realized the dryer had to be hooked up to a 3 prong outlet, they refused to hook up the dryer. This was 1:30 in the afternoon on Wed. I called Tony Blanca's office & asked if Tony would be able to hook up my dryer. The lady asked me when did I need the job done. I told her as soon as possible. She called Tony, & he returned my call within the hour, & was at my residence by 4:00 p.m. Great guy & great service. He worked on my dryer for about an hour, making sure everything was working properly. I would recommend him for any electrical needs. Very responsive & responsible. responsible. Glad to have found Tony on Angie's List.

The work went very well. We thought the problem was with the circuit breaker but it turned out that we had a family of squirrels living in the attic. They had chewed through a foot of insulation on one of the wires that caused the circuit breaker problem. It was not an easy problem to detect. The men had to check all the wiring and switch plates on the line. They were very professional. We were very happy with their work.

Very good. Because the scope of the work wouldn't be apparent until troubleshooting began, when giving the quote they did their best to be fair to us both by charging an hourly rate that was very reasonable. Though I was a little miffed that I was charged for one hour that they went to get supplies and weren't on site, cest la vie... they were "on the job" (they did knock $25 off). Overall, I am very happy with their work.

A company representative, Mike, performed an estimate on Tuesday for a number of items. I decided on a sub-set of them and called for a return appointment on Friday. Mike arrived late, but both the scheduler and Mike did call ahead of time to let me know he was behind schedule. He had an excellent work ethic. All work was done well and with quality. He completely cleaned up all work areas and left things as they were when he arrived. The company followed up with a satisfaction survey and the owner called me to address a few questions I had. I was very happy with the level of attention and customer service I received. I felt comfortable asking questions and asking for advice.

Prompt in providing estimate, called after making estimate to see if there were any questions, provided proof of insurance when asked, arrived on time, did work in a very professional manner and cleaned up after work was completed. We felt estimate was a little high, but they were insured and after seeing amount of work done, estimate was fair. Do not think either of us would have done the work for the same price considering all that had to be done. We are very pleased with the installation.
