Good overall but would have liked to better understand hourly rates / time round up

The Worst contract experience ever. Mr. Levan brought some poor gentleman over to install the system who spoke little to no English and had little knowledge of the install process. The man cut our Comcast cable even though it was clearly marked and told me I had to call to get it fixed. They did not install the all zones agreed upon. No one ever answers their phone and they do not return voice mails for weeks if ever. Now we are trying to purge the system and have no info on where any components are located, and unable to reach anyone to help. Avoid this provider at all cost!

The system Rick Levan installed was exactly what I wanted. It was efficient did a good job. The price was reasonable also.
Several weeks ago, I had a problem with my system - one of the zones would not shut off and I was unable to find the shut off. Eventually I found it.  Rick explained that it was the height of the season so he was not able to come out as quickly as I would have liked to fix it. Fortunately, though, we had lots of rain so my grass was none the worse for wear.
Last week Rick sent a guy out to my house. He fixed (replaced) the problem part. He then checked the entire system to ensure it was working properly and he reset all the settings I had accidentally changed. I've watched the system for a week now and everything is working perfectly!

Came out promptly by appointed time, assessed the problem (bad solenoid valve) and replaced it.  Took about an hour.

Rick made several trips to educate me about the installation and operation of the system.  He and his hard workers installed the system in a timely fashion and made sure the sprinklers were working.  One sprinkler head needed replacing.  He replaced the head with a new one within the week.  He keeps his word and does his best to treat his customers fairly.

They were able to come out the day after I made the call, which I consider great compared to some other irrigation companies.  They gave me a time window when they expected to arrive and even called me to tell me they would be a little late, instead of me waiting around.  They showed up when expected and immediately assessed the issues.  Upon the initial call, Rick took the time to understand my irrigation problems so his technician would be prepared and have the needed parts on the truck.
The man that came out was extremely nice, very efficient in his work (replaced a keypad very quickly and made the other repairs faster than others have in the past for similar work).  He explained everything to me, tested the system, and showed me how to work the keypad.  I most appreciated that no matter what issues my system had (some unexpected), he told me not to worry and that they were no big deal.  He then made the fixes very fast and effortlessly.  
I will use LeVan for all future irrigation needs and have already started recommending them to my neighbors.

Access to yard with equipment was very narrow ... Between fence posts, deck poles and tress. Rick tied up tree and bushes, removed fence post and squeezed equipment though without damaging anything. Sprinkler system more then covers the area .. Very well done job .. Would use him again and recommend him without a second thought.

From first contact with Rick LeVan, the experience went well. He always answered his phone, or if not, called back in a reasonable amount of time. Appointment dates and times were kept as agreed. Pedro came out and started at Zone 1, checking everything. He was very knowledgeable and worked efficiently. We have quite an extensive irrigation system that is now in proper working order, thanks to Rick and Pedro. I would not hesitate to use this company again and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good irrigation company.

I called Rick and discussed that I was in the final stages of replacing my front shrubs and that I had a broken sprinkler head and wanted to have an overall maintenance to my 4 stage sprinkler system. He said he would be able to get to me the next day, called me back a few hours later with a time frame, and showed up on time. They did all the above in one hour and charged a reasonable cost for replacement parts. Great experience and we will use Rick again.

They showed up on time and were very professional. I appreciated the extra effort on locating the sprinkler valves.

I called to get an estimate for the installation of an irrigation system and Rick came out the next day.  He asked a lot of questions about what I was looking for and made suggestions based on my answers and his experience.  
After deciding to go with Rick, I called him back and set up an appointment for installation.  His guys were there the following Monday to start work.  Work was performed flawlessly.
I would definitely call these guys back for future work and maintenance.

I called Levan Irrigation yesterday, 9/10/13, to see if they could send someone out to replace a broken sprinkler head.  Rick answered the call and worked with me to send someone out when I could be home, as is the case with most folk I work.
I explained what I thought was needed and that it was not urgent in as much that the leak only happens when the sprinkler is on.
Rick called me back and arranged for his man to be here the following day to fit my schedule.  He called when his man, Pedro, was on his way,  I expected wait  a further 30 mins. plus for him to arrive but he was here within 15 mins. Pedro replaced the broken sprinkler, checked that stations sprinkler heads were working well and asked if everything else was working okay.  When I said as I had obviously been a 'fit in between jobs' I would call to arrange another day to have the whole system checked. Pedro said that as I would be charged the call out fee plus the replacement head he would happily stay and check the system, which he did.
I am so pleased with finding Levan Irrigation on Angie's list, they well deserve the positive comments they have which encouraged me to call.  Of course I do still have to have the written bill but I doubt there will be any surprises.

LeVan's guy showed up as promised and listened to my explanation of the problem, then fixed it within 30 minutes. He did a great job, tested it, and cleaned up afterwards.
I really appreciated the fast response to my request to come out as we had to have our water turned off until the repair was made. Even though I called just the afternoon before, they accommodated the urgent need and made arrangements to come out quickly.
I would absolutely call them again for anything irrigation related.

Rick Levan and Levan Irrigation did a fantastic job with my lawn.   Really gave great advice as far as zones and coverage and gave me the system I needed, nothing more and nothing less.  Follow-up contact and service has been great as well.

I shopped around and Rick did good work for a fair price.  His guys spent alot of time cleaning up too so that there was minimal impact to the yard.  

Good.  The overall job expanded with additional repairs and replacements so it took longer than originally expected.  That ended up requiring a second trip to finish the job.  Quality work and a thorough job.

From start to finish the installation was very smooth.  Once the quote was accepted the work was scheduled quickly.  The crew showed up on time and worked very efficiently each day.  The only minor hiccup occurred when the trencher/blade hit our sewage backflow preventer by accident.  Although very little damage was done Levan called a plumber to make a repair at NO COST.  All in all I was very pleased with the work done by Levan Irrigation and would highly recommend them for this type of work.
