Josiah and his team were recommended to me by my friend and neighbor who had recently completed a renovation. Josiah was very honest throughout the entire process. Quoting the project was simple and we were able to confirm all the details before the project started. During the renovation we were at ease because Josiah and his staff were present everyday work was completed on the house. We completed our project on time and the quality has been top notch. I would recommend his services to anyone.

Very well. Great job of matching the tile and grout. The water damaged ceiling was replaced and matched perfectly. The new culvert was placed with custom end caps to prevent future washouts and the section of new concrete was properly reinforced to last decades.

He is exceptionally talented as a contractor, a carpenter, and in all aspects of home building skills (structure, design & build, flooring, tile work) which, in many cases, he performs with his team. He was able to make and then implement innovative, creative and functional home improvements. He is great to work with, professional, conscientious, fair, courteous, and prompt.

Josiah's work is superb. He is a high quality craftsman and attentive to detail. He is not the cheapest but his quality is worth the higher premium.

It went great. You hear a lot of horror stories with contractors and projects of this size, but we couldn't have experienced a better experience with Josiah and his crew. They were on-time and punctual not just every day, but also with regards to the time expectations. Josiah and his crew are highly professional, and go above and beyond to make sure every detail of the project is done correctly, including correcting mistakes made by other contractors that had come before them. I would use Josiah on any future project based on my experiences.

I don't have a comparison for price. There were two workers to do the job They were friendly and polite. They did a great job. I would recommend to family or friends.

Completed the job in less then 2 days after ordering the custom pole. Nicely done, good painting and caulking and always left a clean worksite.

We were very happy with the work Josiah and his crew did.  They were thorough and very professional.  The cost was very good for what they did. The renovation has been complete for 6 months now and have loved his work. He made good suggestions and helped us stay within our budget.  We didn't feel pressured to spend more than we could, but also felt like he listened to our needs and made the most of what he could.  We will definitely be considering him for our future remodeling projects.

Harry is very meticulous about his work.  He was very patient with me in making decisions while the work was being done.  He built the cabinet off-site after taking just a few measurements the night he came to give me the estimate.  It fit like a glove!  I didn't have the mess in my garage because he built the cabinet at his shop.  I learned a lot from Harry and he was very helpful to me when I had questions and wanted to understand what he was doing and how it was being done.  I would recommend Harry Shedd for any project in the home or office.  You won't have anything to clean up from his work - he cleans up after himself and you can't tell he was there.

They were very helpful. They came everytime they said they would. They finished the job in about 2 weeks. There were a couple of small problems that my husband found, and before he could even talk with them about it, they fixed it themselves. They are honest, professional, and had great ideas. They cleaned up after themselves, and all the guys working were very nice. They were very flexible with us as well.

Josiah and his crew were fantastic!  We purchased a house in need of a lot of repair, and Josiah did it all.  His price was fair, and he and his crew really went the extra mile to be sure we were pleased with the results.  For example, he sorted through floor tile to be sure the color was consistent, exchanging tiles that did not fit; he worked on the stairs to make them less creaky (at no extra charge); and when an appliance that his team had hooked up didn't work correctly, he came back to fix it himself.  Josiah and his crew are young, but he really knows his stuff.  He pointed out problems that older contractors had missed, and he was extremely thorough and careful.  He also has a good eye for both design and practicality, and gave careful thought to how things would both work and look best.  He was responsive to our needs and kept in close contact during the project.  (Work lasted, off and on, for a total of about six months.) We found Josiah and his employees extremely polite and professional, as well as hardworking and competent.   I recommend him most highly for any construction project, large or small.  We are already putting together a list of future projects for him.

We initially had larger contractors out to give us quotes. Not only were they more expensive, they did not cover nearly all of the features and customization Josiah did. We feel like we got a true custom basement, not a cookie cutter design the larger companies all recommended.

Josiah's Remodeling was the third contractor that we had come in to do work on our basement (the other two we fired). Right away, we had an amazing experience with Josiah, beginning with the initial call. Within 24 hours of our first contact, he was at our home to provide an estimate. Not only is Josiah skilled at his craft, he has an amazing eye for functionality and design within any space. He was very progressive in his thinking and recommendations for placement of light switches and electrical outlets (among other recommendations). Even throughout the project, he provided ideas on color, and design aesthetics. We could tell that he truly envisioned the end product at all stages of the work.

The rest of the crew is awesome. Very kind, talented, knowledgeable, professional and hard working. The crew generally arrived between 7:00 and 8:00 each day and often did not leave until around 7/8 in the evening. Sometimes, when they were really into finishing one aspect of they project they would stay even later... 10:30 was the latest!! We appreciated the true dedication and pride each member of the crew took in completing the basement in our home. Josiah is very hands on and we could tell, he was truly proud of his work and invested in our project. When considering paint colors, it amazed us that he remembered the colors by name and their exact location in our basement.

Josiah and his crew were very open to feedback in the 2 occasions that we were not aligned with how something looked. They were very amenable to changing the design (albeit with a labor cost) to make it truly what we wanted. There was never any frustration or hesitation to give us exactly what we wanted.

The pricing was very good and Josiah was absolutely transparent every step of the way if we were about to incur an additional cost for something. He never begged for a draw or requested a draw when the work was not yet completed. Josiah was always very clear on the timeline, how they were progressing and whether there were any potential delays (there were none in the end). The team stuck to the schedule provided, they never promised to do something that they could not deliver. The project was finished exactly when Josiah said it would be completed and it looks absolutely amazing.

This review clearly shows that we would absolutely recommend Josiah's Remodeling and look forward to discussing future projects with him. I cannot wait to see the portfolio from Josiah's Remodeling a few months and years from now. We will be honored to say, "we knew them when".
