Mr. Jim McIntyre of JAG Remodels, Incorported did not have the professional courtesy to telephone prior to his arrival to conduct the work. The 24 x 24 drain box consisted of a cheap plastic drainage box with an approximate flexible 2 inch drainage hose connected from the plastic drain box to the main 6 inch storm drain pipe. This was not what was specified in the estimate. When questioned as to why the drainage pipe from the 24 x 24 drain box was not connected to the permanent storm drain basin, Mr. McIntyre of JAG Remodels, Inc., related that after further examination, JAG, Remodels, Inc.could not make the connection due to the permanent storm drain catch basinhaving been constructed out of cement and bricks. Therefore, JAG Remodels, Inc. simply "spliced" into the main 6 inch storm drain line beside the 24 x 24 drain box using an approximate 2 inch flexible drain pipe. Lastly, the 24 x 24 inch drain box JAG Remodels, Inc. installed (in the back yard) did not have any type of protection and/or guard to pevent mud from entering the newly installed outside drain box, nor was sod replaced around the dug out area. With regard to the installation of the additional gutter down spout, JAG Remodels, Inc. failed to place any brackets around the downspout to properly secure the added downspout. The downspout is essentially being secured by only the screws where the down spout meets the gutter, although the approximate length with curve(s) is 30 feet. The quality of workmanship for the provided estimate is horrible and I would not recommend JAG Remodels, Inc. for any job based upon this experience and prior experience where JAG Remodels, Inc. was hired by a HOA to spray paint the chimney caps on the housing units, but failed to complete the job.
