HIGHLAND TV

I called Highland TV repair on a Friday morning and didn't hear back until Friday evening. The repairman did arrive right on time the next day but took one look at the TV and said he wouldn't bother fixing it and left very quickly. I appreciated his opinion but would have liked to have better understood what the problem was and what would be needed to fix it. He did not charge for the service call. I was a little put off by his demeanor, especially when he left and asked us to "call when we have a big screen."

Matt was able to respond the next day to our request, arriving on time with proper equipment to diagnose the problem. Our older model big screen television had been in storage and now failed to produce a picture. Matt patiently and systematically identified and repaired components until the television worked properly. The project required three trips from our house to his shop to replace and repair parts and a final trip, with a colleague, to manually adjust the picture grid. Successful completion of the project required patience from both sides. We were please with the outcome, especially with the fact that Matt stood by his original estimate even though the job became larger than he had initially expected.
