The survey crew did a great job! The lot is wooded and the mosquitoes were thick. I did not envy their working conditions! And they were there all day! The turnaround on the actual survey was fast - a day or two. And, it looks great. The owner of the company, Tom Peay, called me today and sent me additional information, which will be helpful for a fence. There was a little trouble scheduling the survey, however. And they failed to communicate the delays to me. Instead, I had to keep calling to ask about the survey. In their defense, they did say it was going to be one week. If someone had just called a couple of times to let me know they hadn't forgotten me, I would've really appreciated it! But, they did great work once they got out for the survey!

Did survey as requested but when I called back to ask that some details of the survey be explained the man I spoke to was very short and not helpful. It was as though the questions were a bother. Wouldn't use this co. again.

Several companies I spoke with would not conduct a partial survey and my budget didn't allow for a full survey of my property. Frontline Surveying listened to what I needed and would perform the needed service. I accepted their proposal and requested a 24-hour notice so I could be at the house to confirm my exact needs. They called me the day they thought they might come out. Since that particular day was flexible, I was able to go home to meet them later in the day. Their prior job ran long and they weren't able to come that day, but they made special arrangements to come the next day, which was a Saturday. They arrived at the time expected, confirmed what I needed and went right to work. They did an awesome job of identifying exactly where the boundary was that I needed and placing stakes where the fence installer would be able to use them. They made sure to share with me the exact placing so that I knew they were just on my side of the boundary and could share with the fence installer. I would not hesitate to use them again - and almost had to when the neighborhood kids pilferred the stakes before I even got the fence guy to the house - but that's its own story.

I called on a Monday, and the survey was completed by Wednesday morning. Paul, one of the surveyors, was extremely knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. I was very pleased with the service that this company provides., and I most definitely would use them again.

Overall it went well. My only issue was that they were to come the day prior. Due to rain two days before they were delayed in getting to me by a day. No big deal except they didn't notify me. When I called them late in the morning they said they would get me the next day causing me to take an additional day off work. When they did arrive the next morning they were very courteous and professional.

Mr. Paye is most helpful, and I will definitely be speaking with him again in regards to surveying my property. I wanted to thank him for all of his thorough advice. I wish him good fortune in his current and future endeavors.

Very pleasant experience, would use them again and highly recommend them. They were very professional and even after dealing with my unruly neighbor. They took there time and explained what they were doing and the purpose of the stakes and the laws regarding the removal of the stakes as to who could remove them. And answered any other questions regarding the survey and property lines.

Called Frontline and talked to the owner. He really listened to make sure he understood my requirements and offered several options. I chose the detailed survey. The team came out did a great job marking the property all the way around. They followed up by sending me paper copies of the survey via mail and a PDF copy via email. This was invaluable. The fence was installed yesterday (4/29/2010) and the detailed survey helped me explain to the fence installation team how and where I wanted the fence to be installed. I called Frontline yesterday to thank them again for great service and a great deliverable.

I spoke to the owner of the company on the phone 6/4/09 and he was very professional. He determined what I needed and while on the phone was able to find my property on the computer using programs I was familiar with as an educator, and he could actual see my property. He was able to tell me the price up front and have a 2 man crew out a couple of days later. The 2 men were here at the prearranged time and were professionals. They were able to locate 3 out the 4 original iron stakes use to map out he lot 30 years ago and then used survey equipment to determine the location of the where the 4th stake should have been, but couldn't be located by the traditional method of a metal detector because of a fire hydrant, cable and electrical boxes all in the sames location. They then fully explained it to me in detail.

Mr. Paye, the company manager, and I hit it off. He was so helpful, and fun to talk to. I actually thought he was coming out to perform the work himself ! He said he'd been, " fussed at before, and wasn't afraid of anybody, " and I loved hearing that ! I actually had another team of guys- who told me they were surveying the, " new Jodeco Road Dollar Store. " They wanted $140 and hour, with a crew of three guys; that would probably take well into a couple of hours. Needless to say, I declined at the eleventh hour. Not typical for me- I like professionalism, and mutual respect. But I hate a braggard rip-off artist more. Mr. Paye gave me the fee up front, although he couldn't find my plat online, I fortunately had a copy I had purchased from City Hall. He said they could use it, AND they had a crew of seven guys. I got an early call from Mr. Paye saying that if the rain stopped they would be out. He called me when they were in route. When they arrived, they were very professional and started work right away. Amid all the work, the problem neighbor comes out and decides to strike up a conversation with one of the gentleman speaking with me. I thought this rude, and didn't want the surveyor to speak with her. I paid for their service, she didn't. So, in my opinion, she should not have been addressed. The prior week she told my lawn guys to not cut the grass where MY mailbox was located, because it was her property. She was quite persistant, and sneaky, addressing them when I went inside my home. When I approached, I asked to be privy to the ongoing conversation, and the surveyor repeated himself, for benefit of my digital recorder. I fully expect a court date, and have been compiling pertinant information for quite some time. I wanted a statement from the contractor, and he gave me something in writing, and I feel if it goes to court, I feel confident that both Mr. Paye and the team at Frontline will be there. Although it took them longer than they expected, they did not go up in price ! This was greatly appreciated. Soon I had stakes (wood, and metal) in the ground. They did a thorough, and precise job, and told me if I had any other difficulties to call.

Frontline office staff was professional and polite, but the survey crew was somewhat "slack." Only marked part of the property boundaries and we had to call to have them return to complete the job, which they did to our ultimate complete satisfaction. Price was competitive and we based selection on Angie's List ratings.
Response from FRONTLINE SURVEYING & MAPPING INC
"The first visit to job site the crew could not find enough property pins in the subdivision to complete job accurately and had to return to the office for more calculations. I admit the crew and/or office should have communicated this better to client and in a more professional manner and we have change our policy because of that oversight; However, We did finally complete the job to the customer’s full satisfaction. Thanks for pointing out the problem. Tom Frontline Surveying & Mapping, Inc Thomas E.
