Chris and his partner cleaned 4 bedrooms, hall and stair carpets, scotch guarding all and re-installing the carpet in the master bedroom and hallway which had become wrinkled. The results were like-new carpet.

Chris could not have provided any better customer service. Believe me, I do not dish out praise lightly! I called Chris' number and received a voicemail that he was out of town and would contact me shortly. He contacted me within a half hour and we set up an appointment. Chris arrived promptly and surveyed the area. He got up stains that a previous cleaner could not. He was very professional and even helped me kill a bee that came in. He not only was professional, but he was nice and really wanted to do a good job. You could just tell that he cared about his work. I was surprised when I received a thank you note from Chris in the old fashioned mail box! A personal note of appreciation with a coupon and a Starbucks gift card - wow - how many people go the extra mile in showing appreciation for your business. His quality of work ensured repeat business, but his customer service made my day!

Chris was definitely the most knowledgeable about his craft, he was the most accessible, and his customer service was through the roof out of all of the places I called - even though he was admittedly not the cheapest (although I do think that his price was reasonable). He was extremely polite and customer-oriented. He suggested that I email him a picture of the damaged carpet ahead of time so that he could confirm his price estimate for me so there wouldn't be any surprises - which was great! (Another place I called said it could be anywhere from $85 - $200. Geez.)
He ended up having to take a strip of carpet from my closet to patch over the part of the doorway. He took it up from a back corner that wasn't very noticeable, and he did a really great job at fixing the clawed-up carpet and padding in the doorway. He also thoroughly cleaned up when he was done.
I wouldn't hesitate to call Chris again for any of my carpet care, cleaning, or repair needs.

Everything went great. The carpets look new even though they are over 5 years old with heavy traffic. The sectional and chair look amazing too. Very pleased with the results.

In the past few years with the economy changing and job transfers we have made the mistake of trying other cleaning companies because our budget was smaller. Fresh Start's pricing may seem slightly more when comparing several local cleaners but, in the end, if you dont choose Fresh Start to begin with then you will be paying even more because you will need them to come in after you have tried a 'less-expensive' company that doesn't do more than an extensive vacuuming to finish the job they should have done.
I will only use Fresh Start, and only reccomend Fresh Start!
Besides the quality of the end result, Chris is always punctual, courteous and honest about what he can do for your cleaning needs.

I used Angie's List to search for credible rug cleaning companies. I reviewed several and chose Fresh Start due to the process and service advertised. Chris, the owner, responded quickly to my call and email, was on time with appointment and dressed and acted in a professional manner. He picked up my rug and corresponded with me via email for updates regarding the status of the cleaning process. He delivered the rug to my home, on time and as agreed. Overall experience: Quality work, professional and knowledgeable. Although the pricing is on the higher end side, I will definitely use him in the future for carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning. I'm so glad that I purchased Angie's List and wish that I would have done it several years ago.

This is our second time using Fresh Start, and we could not be more pleased with the results. Chris, the owner, is extremely conscientious, and does great work. As we needed the carpet cleaned in our rental property prior to new tenants moving in, Chris had no problem getting a quote to us in a timely manner, letting himself in to the house via lockbox, and getting the job done, leaving the carpet absolutely spotless. He has been a pleasure to work with on both occasions. Highly recommend!

Working with Fresh Start was a breeze!! I called and scheduled an appointment and later that day received an email with tips on how to prepare for the carpet cleaning. The night before my appointment Chris gave me a reminder phone call which was very helpful to me because I had my days mixed up. By the way Chris is professional and very,very friendly! The morning of my appointment they called and let me know they were on track and would be arriving on time in about 20 minutes....and they did!! Nobody is ever on time these days so I really appreciated that. When Chris and Alex got here we talked for a few minutes and they played with my dogs and went over the cleaning process, asked me if I had any questions and got to work. Both men were very nice and I was totally comfortable with them. My dogs liked them too! When they were finished they showed me the rug and my bedroom and asked if I was happy and did I have any questions or concerns. My satisfaction was important to them. They explained to me that with their heavy duty fans they had running it would be dry in no time..and they were!
My carpet looks amazing and my rug too! Great guys, great end results, and great price!! If you need your carpets or rugs cleaned you really need to call the guys at Fresh Start! You will be so happy you did, I know I am!

I am placing my house up for rent and needed the carpets cleaned and stretched and generally made to look almost like new for potential renters. I called around to a few places on Angie's List, but Chris is the only one that actually answered the phone. He was very friendly and listened to exactly what I needed. I had to reschedule with him the night before our original appointment, and he was very flexible and courteous. He showed up on time at the rescheduled appointment and completed the services in the estimated time frame. My carpet looked awesome when he was done and the whole place smelled so much better. He actually took extra time to remove the ground in dirt from my high traffic area by the back door. I will certainly use him again for my rental house or my primary residence.

From my initial phone call requesting a quote through to the completion of cleaning the carpet in two rooms and an upholstered sofa Chris provided expert service with unflagging professionalism and a clear knowledge of the business. Chris, the owner/operator, and Alex, who worked with him, have restored my faith and confidence in "a job well done." Chris called within minutes of my initial email contact (via his business website), quoted me for the job, and set up an appointment for the work. On the day of the job, Chris and Alex called when they were within 20 minutes of arriving (on time!), and treated my home with respect and care from the minute they walked in the door until they were packed up to leave. They worked quickly and unobtrusively and cleaned my carpets and sofa to perfection! Our three dogs had badly stained the carpet in one room and had left the sofa in such a state I truly believed I would have to throw it out. Before Chris and Alex worked their magic I was unable to walk into one room because of the lingering and powerful pet odors. The sofa looks like it was never dirty and I no longer am overwhelmed with the ammonia smell of set-in pet stains! Wow - truly beyond my expectations. Chris offered additional services that he thought would benefit me but when I declined the additional services he did not push or try to hard sell me. Indeed, the actual price for the job was slightly less than the initial quote. He also assured me that should anything not meet with my satisfaction after he left that a simple phone call would bring him back to correct any problems. If you are looking for a top-notch company, with an owner who truly knows the meaning of "customer service" look no further. Chris (and Alex) are your go-to guys. I highly recommend Fresh Start without any reservation. Great job!!!

Believe all the other amazing reviews. We have a quite large home and I was always hesitant to drop so much money on carpet cleaning, with dogs and kids constantly getting it dirty. It finally got to the point, I had to have them done. Our 13 year old dog, developed bladder control issues in the end, then we got a new puppy and had all those nice new messes, and something had to be done. This was the first time I had ever had carpets done in our new home. I was amazed, I had them done at least annually at our old house and could never really tell, this time it truly was miraculous. Sure enough within a week of the cleaning, puppy got sick with stomach bug and had diarrhea all over one of the rooms, Chris came and got it all out. SOOOOOO professional, wish all home contractors could be this professional.

Chris, who answers the phone and provides the quote, actually does the job. This was a great plus with me. In the past, I have unknowingly hired carpet cleaning services and found out that the person who does the work is not an employee but rather a subcontractor.
Chris does not rush the job and, for example, uses a hand attachment to clean the steps and risers of staircases.
Chris is very personable and eager to make sure you are a satisfied customer. I can unequivocally recommend Chris and his company, Fresh Start Home Services.
You can find cheaper carpet cleaners and that is what you will get.

I found Fresh Start online when searching for a carpet cleaning company specializing in pet odor and stain removal. They were very friendly and informative on the phone, sent me materials via email to review before the appointment, and arrived within the timeframe scheduled. Chris was extremely professional, knowledgeable, polite and did a thorough job on my carpeted areas. They were outstanding. We have two young dogs that don't know the inside from the outside and they made some messes on the carpeting. The spots came out very well and it looks like new carpet. The cleaning people use a different approach. They use a powder form, which was scrubbed and rubbed in, and then they let it stand for a while and vacuumed it up. We found the same material through a vacuum company dealer so we can now do our whole clean up with the same procedure. That would save us the cost of the cleaning service. They came right on schedule. We were having a party and wanted it cleaned before the party and they did it. We would definitely use them in the future.

Left a message on company's voice mail and they returned call within a few hours. We set the appointment for the following Friday afternoon. Technician called on Thursday to confirm. He also called on Friday when he was on the way to our house. He arrived when he had said he would. He was neat and polite and friendly. He used paper booties over his shoes while in the house. He explained the pre-treatment process used prior to the extraction. I asked him for his opinion on cleaning an area on a microfiber sofa where the dog had also had an accident. While I had cleaned it with the enzymatic cleaner and it did not look stained, I wanted his opinion as to whether or not it should be cleaned with the extractor. After examining, he said he thought it was not necessary to have cleaned. He completed the work in about an hour and a half. The bedroom had only the traffic areas cleaned, and the hallways had no furniture. We only had moved one piece of upholstered furniture to be cleaned under. He placed foam blocks under that sofa prior to leaving for drying purposes. He said that the carpets would be mostly dry in about four hours. They were dry enough to walk on immediately with shoes or bare feet. With the weather that day being humid, it probably took actually closer to six hours to be mostly dry, but that was understandable. Carpets were completely dry the next morning. They now look like they did when we had them installed three years ago. The technician said to call if any of the staining reappeared, and they would come back to take care of it as part of the package purchased. If you get down on your hands and knees and put your nose to the carpet, you cannot smell any traces of urine in the two areas where carpet is over the concrete slab. I would assume that due to the fact that the other two areas have plywood underneath, you can still smell traces of urine. However, you have your face on the carpet in order to smell it, and I really did not have an unrealistic expectation that hot water extraction could erase the fact that the carpet had been urinated upon. I was very pleased with the service. The technician was communicative, prompt, courteous, careful, and professional. I feel I received good value for the money paid, and am very happy to have nice-looking carpets. I will use this company again.

Fantastic job! We needed our carpet cleaned & it had been a couple years since it had been done. We have 2 large rescued dogs that had multiple accidents on the carpets. I cleaned the pet accidents myself, but some stains & odor remained. We weren't satisfied with the 2 other companies we used in the past. After asking friends & doing extensive online research, I narrowed it down to 2 companies. I wasn't impressed with the answers the other company provided on the phone. Chris with Fresh Start was very knowledgeable, professional and even quoted a good price! He addressed my concerns & thoroughly explained my options. It took me a couple weeks until I was ready to schedule. Chris sent me an email with info about the cleaning & confirmed the appointment the night before. He called to let me know he was on the way & was on time. He arrived in a nicley painted commercial van, wore a clean uniform & was polite/professional. He took his time cleaning & the carpets looked better than when we moved in 5 years before!!! I couln't believe it. The odors & stains were gone. He even stayed with the quoted phone estimate from a few weeks prior. And he called a few days later to be sure everything was OK. Well, our dog left 2 more urine stains the next week-oh no!! Chris came back out & didn't even charge for it! I am telling everyone how great Fresh Sart is & will definately be using them on a regular basis.
