Fleming Flooring & Design Center

There has been a continuous display of dishonesty, lack of integrity and sheer incompetence by this company. They did not respond to our warranty needs until we wrote an honest review last month. When they finally came to our home to inspect the work that they initially failed to inspect for quality control, not only did they show up on the wrong date but then acted as if they didn't see the defective work until I called them on it and asked them to bring out their leveler. They then admitted that our floor has a hump in it and they would get in touch with their contractor to discuss how to fix it. I am not sure why they need to contact a contractor for the purpose of fixing their shoddy work. They came to see the work on November 3 and they have not followed up since then. It appears that their tactic is to wait you out until you go away, but unfortunately for them this tactic won't work with us. Carefully consider your options before employing this company or entrusting them to do any substantial work for you as there are more trustworthy and truly competent flooring companies in Marietta and the surrounding area.

Fleming Flooring and Design is absolutely the best! My husband and I spent almost a year interviewing floor companies to refinish our hardwood floors. A few of the companies were dishonest in their measurements and were adding quite a bit of extra square footage to inflate the price. Being obsessive/compulsive retirees, we knew the exact footage. We were so impressed that Fleming's measurements were exactly the same as ours. They were very honest and trustworthy. Robert was always on hand to follow up and had a excellent rapport with the staff who was doing the refinishing. They were always on time and did everything that they promised. The end result is amazing; we love our new special walnut floors. They did a fabulous job at a very fair price. We recently shopped at their store for area rugs. We met the owner who was working there on a Saturday along with his staff. Robert was also there helping out. We had royal treatment from them and their very helpful and pleasant sales lady, Katy. I am very impressed with Fleming's overall customer relations, quality and products.

All day install - gave me time to vacuum debris from baseboards left from when house was built. Also to use screws to fasten floor where I heard squeaks.

The team at Fleming did an excellent job. They were incredibly reponsive and hard working. Russ Smith went above and beyond!

Fine Note - I had originally bought this very fine quality carpet from Fleming, so I knew they would do a good job.

Cannot recommend Fleming. 
Master bathroom floor tile replacement: The good: 
Fleming has a great selection of tile. The showroom ladies were awesome
and took a lot of time and were very helpful and patient. The bad: 
The job dragged on for a long time because of issues. I was told by the
project manager that the baseboard wouldn’t be damaged when they took up the
tile. It was damaged pretty badly all along the bottom, but the project manager
provided shoe molding (which I painted) and had his carpet crew cut and install
it. I appreciated that they took care of that. The carpet crew did a great job
installing it. However, I wound up
having to repaint all of the trim in the bathroom because of the mess the
installation made. There were issues with the grout color and installation along
the tub and shower surrounds (which were a different color tile). I wound up
having to purchase pencil tile to cover it up after the installer tried to fix it with sanded caulk. Fleming was willing to install
at an extra charge because of the grouting needed to put the pencil tile in. The installer didn't grout, he used the sanded caulk. The installer
installed metal transitions to the two carpeted areas, and one of the metal
transitions is dented. I don’t know if he installed it dented or if he dented
it after installation, but you can see the dent. Also, the installer's pickup truck dripped oil on my driveway every day, even though he did make an effort to catch the oil.


Carpet runner installation in the entry foyer: The good: the showroom ladies were again
awesome in helping me select the best product for the stair runner. I also requested that the work crew not park in the driveway because I didn't want more oil on it, and they respected that request. The bad: 
When the man came to measure the stairs, he told me that the width
across the back of the stair treads was one eighth of an inch wider than the
width across the front of the treads (I was impressed that he measured that carefully). 
Apparently they didn’t tell this to the person who installed it, because
the installer appears to have measured 4 inches out from one side of the
staircase (instead of taking the time to try to center the runner) to install
the carpet, which makes the runner an eighth of an inch crooked on every stair.
Also, the pattern (a partial loop pattern) was installed crooked on several stairs –
unfortunately the first set of stairs that everyone sees coming in the house. I
have to look at the crooked pattern every day.


The final reason we cannot recommend Fleming is that our
project manager never came back at the end of the job to see if we were
satisfied. My neighbors had Fleming install some hardwood floors and a carpet
runner, and their project manager came back to their home to make sure they
were satisfied. Made me think that they knew there had been issues and wanted to wash their hands of the project.

Very easy experience.  Owner came out.  Showed the samples. Measured it up. Told us what the price was and how fast they could install.  No upfront cash needed.  We set up the date, his guys came out and they did a great job.  Have since recommended them to a friend of mine, and he has used them a couple of times now.  I would recommend.

Fleming sent an installer out to look at the problem and let me know what had happened and how to fix it.
There was no fault on the part of Fleming, and they handled it professionally.

We went to their shop and selected the carpet. They said they would call when the carpet could be installed. Approx. 10 days later they called and said they could be at our house on certain days. We agreed on a date. On the specified date they called and said they were on the way. We had the area prepared prior to their arrival. They arrived and had a totally uneventful installation!

They were awesome. They came out when they said they were going to and did exactly what they said they were going to do. They were extremely neat and cleaned up behind themselves.

GREAT JOB.

Showroom help was excellent, estimator (Robert) followed through on the job to completion. Installation crew were prompt (actually early) very efficient. Cleaned up completely, took care to carry the carpet in to avoid touching hardwood floors.

It was great. They did a good job. We would definitely use them again.

Just excellent!!!  On time, polite, excellent craftsmanship, and complete cleanup.  They will get the rest of my business for an additional 4 rooms soon.  Highly recommended.

The was just the latest of my great experiences with Fleming. Over the past couple years, I've worked with them to replace most of the flooring for our 20 yr old house. They are great to work with. Their crews are always prompt and very professional.

Relocated from OH. and was recomended to use Fleming and I am so glad I did! This was are 4th home, so I came to Russ knowing what my budget was and what grade and quality I was looking for. He's a great listener, because I have 3 great looking floors and not a drained bank account.
High points:
~ ONLY showed me carpet for Master bedroom that would wear well in a highly "T" walking pattern. And one that has fast delivery.
~ needed a close matching remnant for closet. He got it!
~Carpeting bonus room & stairs was thrown in last minute to do on same day
of master room. He knows his stock VERY well because he found enough carpet left over from another job in the warehouse that is just perfect !! (Truly)
~Recommended a vinyl for our bathroom from warehouse. It to is perfect. Husband installed.
~stayed true to ALL schedules
~installer(1) pleasant, very skilled, clean, tiddy, hard worker. (8 hrs. worked)
~instillation day, Russ stopped by to see how things were going.

I would use their services again in the future.

The crew arrived on time and did removal of the carpeting and tile quickly and efficiently. Each member of the crew was always courteous, happy and enjoyable to be around as well as being extremely skilled and efficient in doing the job. When I made a couple of requests regarding a certain piece of wood or threshold, they happily made the change and were always eager to please.  The completed job is absolutely beautiful.  I would use them again and would recommend them to my friends.  Thank you, Fleming Carpet for a job well done!

I am very pleased with the beautiful new floors!  Terry at Fleming came out on a Tuesday, measured and gave me a firm estimate.  By that Friday I had my floors!  The installation crew was on time,  quick, efficient and professional, in and out in 5 hours.  Because the floors were prefinished, there was no waiting to walk on them.  I found everyone at Fleming very responsive and professional and will definitely use them again.

They performed the work exactly as promissed .
Showed up on time and completed all work on time, with very good finish quality.

Would not hesitate to use them again.
Very satisfied with their work.
