Let me start by saying after my many concerns and frustrations with Etowah from a large $20k or so project last year - I have refrained from leaving a review at all because I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and forget it all. But my integrity was questioned and after providing proof of one of my concerns I was dismissed yet again without ownership, so here goes (I'm refraining from using names as business is business and I will not make it personal against any individuals. I hold the company responsible): - Communication was patchy but it's a small business so it's fine, it is what it is. While sometimes responses were difficult to get - I am aware that I can be over communicative so I won't hold it against them. - at least the employees I dealt with were all pleasant for the most part. - anytime I asked for something I felt dismissed as my concern was not of concern. But I'll add it was not rudeness or spoken down to. It was more as if saying concerns I had I would be more so over concerned. - charged for a dumpster and there wasn't one: told it was basically waste removal since a dumpster wouldn't fit in my area. Ok, but $850 to haul off and labeled as dumpster? - charged twice the amount of mulch than I got - wrote it off as giving me something else in exchange. I'd prefer accuracy so I know what I'm paying for. Felt overcharged on all the plants as well. - dead plant and was told it would be replaced but no one ever came. - paid for, then cancelled monthly treatments because the guy would not show up for stuff I was asking for or about even after telling me he would. - sub that did irrigation came to my house and rang the door bell and knocked constantly until I woke up and came. He threatened a lean on my house because he hasn't been paid. Etowah said they would and did take care of it, but when used as a point of contention later - employee was more concerned about explaining what and why in that situation. I didn't care why he wasn't paid or any of that. Just the fact that he came to me was another issue I had in a $20k project. - biggest one for me: I was told in beginning that they didn't need to pressure wash my deck before painting. Now the paint peeling in areas. Albeit you can tell it's from dog nails but I didn't know if the lack of surface prep contributed. So after a month or so of trying to get an answer I was told it was damage plain and simple: Then I was basically called a liar when I said the deck was not pressure washed and I was assured it was done and that he would not lie. I found emails and texts from last year where the guy at my house stated he removed the pressure washing charge because it was not needed as evidence supporting my side of things. I added I was done with the situation and it was not healthy for me to do anything else but walk away. This individuals response wasn't to acknowledge that I was correct. Not an apology or ownership. No offer of a can of paint for me to do myself. This individuals response was "ten four". I'm sure I would get a one star review as a customer as well if that was such thing. But it was my money paying for the project so I had every right to ask questions and have expectations. And through all my concerns, I've never resorted to arguments ad hominem or disrespect.

Left my corporate franchise provider for Etowah and couldn't be happier.  About the same price, actually a bit lower, but way more service, concern, and RESULTS.  I just thought I had weeds that were really tough, or had been lead to believe so.  
Within two treatments by Etowah, the weeds I had continually complained about for years to my former provider were gone!
These guys are concerned and treat based on and around my needs since we have kids and a dog that play in the yard regularly.
Wish I'd switched sooner!
