We had a bad experience. Everything was completely packed when they showed up. They showed up with 3 guys. They quoted me a price and they quoted me a certain amount of time which was 4 to 5 hours if I remember correctly. One of the guys supposedly hurt his back lifting a mattress and left. I called the owner of the company and requested him to send another guy. He told me that he didn't have another guy to send me and if I wanted I could fire them. We still ended up spending the same amount of money except for the fact that it took 8 hours to do the move. My wife and I ended up helping the movers. One of the men sat in the truck and packed mattress pads all day long. It was a disaster. I felt like they were hijacking. I till this day don't believe that the guy hurt his back. I just felt that they thought that they weren't going to make enough money with 3 guys moving everything that was already packed. That would be a way of trying to make more money. I thought they were very careless with the way they handled my furniture. There were scratches on some of the stuff. It was a very bad experience. We went with them because they sounded professional. The guy sounded dedicated, he sounded really trustworthy plus his ratings were strong. I didn't find out about the guy that hurt his back and left until about half an hour after that. They showed up on time and they got it done, but it was supposed to be 3 guys doing it in 4-5 hours, not one of them sitting in the truck and me and my wife and one of their guys doing it for 8 hours and us paying the same amount of money. They were nice and pleasant except for the one guy who hung out in the truck packing mattress pads all day long. If they got the move done in 4 hours and if I didn't have to lift a finger, the price would have been fine. I would never hire them back. It seemed like an old ploy when the owner told me that morning that I could fire them and they would take everything off the truck and it would be okay. They would have packed up the truck and moved us, and then hijacked us for extra money. I never called back the furniture repair guy that I was supposed to call to fix scratches on my couch and my china cupboard because I was so angry with the movers. I really want nothing to do with them, unless I can get my money back. I feel that they really gypped me. I am an attorney, but I don't want to sue these guys. If I can get my money back or at least half of my money back, that would be fine. I spoke to the owner several times about my complaints on the day I was paying the bill. It was a terrible experience. I don't want to have anything to do with these people because it would upset me. I can't imagine a mover hurting his back lifting a mattress. It was preposterous. They told me that they were trained, bonded and insured, and that they were employees and not sub-contractors.

I am very satisfied with their service. They came 30 min later than the scheduled time, but they called ahead and informed us saying they were running late. We were also running late that day, so it worked out very well for us. Everything came to new house with out even a single damage to anything.

Being new to the area, we relied on Angie's list to find movers that could help us move furniture that we needed move to other areas of our home but could not move ourselves. E&L was punctual, professional, polite, and FAST! Service was scheduled within a week of calling in and the movers called on the day of service to confirm arrival time. Three movers performed the work, moving three sofas from room to room and an extremely large desk from one floor of our house to another. All in all, the move took less than 15 minutes -- thus my rating of a "B" overall and a "C" for cost. I had been informed upon calling that there would be a minimum charge, but was surprised that when the job took such a small amount of time that no adjustments were made. I would definitely hire them again for a larger move, but will look around a little more for someone to perform these smaller jobs.

E & L was on time, professional, and very curtious. They sent 3 guys to move my items which included 3 large/heavy home gym equipment pieces. They didn't waste any time and managed to load the truck, unload half the truck into storage and the other half into a new location in only 4 hours including travel time. Their prices were competitive but E & L was a personal referral to me, plus they gave me 10% for being an Angie's List member. I would use them again.

They met us at the storage place right on time, quickly loaded the furniture and placed it in correct rooms in house. All went very smoothly and quickly. They have a 3 hour minimum on Friday and Sat but since we had so little they gave us 2 hour minimum - even though it only took 1 hour, but we knew in advance of the min charge so were not surprised.

They did arrive a little late but were able to finish the job within a reasonable time and thus the job was done on the desired day. They dismantled and set up the beds in the new locations. The truck was much bigger than I needed but it was nice to have more than one man. It made quick work of the project.

I called E & L Movers and spoke to the owner, Ernest Williams. It is a small business and good alternative to the larger, less personal, big moving companies. Mr. Williams genuinely appreciates your business and they strive to make you happy. Williams' son, Ernest Jr. and an assistant, Keith, showed up on time and moved my stuff with care. They worked diligently and completed the task at hand with no problems. I will definitely use them again.

They estimated the right time. They came with two workers instead of three and they discounted for that. I would use them again.

I cannot say enough nice things about this company. From my first inquiry phone call to the last item they carried through our door into our new home, everyone was professional, friendly and extremely careful with our belongings. Our move was small and local, but I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone for a larger job.

They were the best movers we ever had, and we've moved many times over the years.

My daughter and I were extremely satisfied with the company. The staff was polite, efficient and reasonably priced. Overall, a very good experience. I highly recommend them and intend to call them again in the future.

They were terrible. I would not use this company or recommend them to anyone. They were very unprofessional.

Really good price compared to other moving companies. Had bigger truck than another company. That's why I went with this movers. Both of the owners were very nice and pleasant to talk to. We had 3 guys and 30 ft. truck to move our stuff. They were very nice people and worked really hard. Didn't break anything, put everything back together (the bed, entertainment center and etc..) Will recommend them to anyone.

We are very pleased with their service. Four people arrived on time. They were very courteous and took care in loading all the items and then unloading them at the new location. They took care of the items. Nothing was damaged in the process. I will highly recommend them any time.

MOVERS WERE ON TIME, CAREFUL WITH GOODS, POLITE, AND QUICK. I WILL USE THEM AGAIN. ONE NEGATIVE IS THAT I HAD THE MOVE SCHEDULED FOR AN AFTERNOON. THE FIRST DATE THEY COULD GIVE ME. THEY CALLED THE DAY BEFORE TO RESCHEDULE FOR AM, CONFLICTING WITH A DR'S. APPT. SINCE IT WAS A SMALL MOVE, I UNDERSTAND THAT THEY NEEDED TO MOVE ME, BUT HEARING THE DAY BEFORE THAT, ''WE HAVE TO MOVE YOU IN THE AM OR WE CAN'T DO THE MOVE,'' DIDN'T MAKE ME HAPPY.

A FANTASTIC JOB! HANDLED A MOVE OF HALF OUR HOUSE TO A THIRD-FLOOR WALKUP APARTMENT. THEY WERE EXTREMELY CAREFUL AND EVEN TOOK CARE OF THE PIANO. WE WILL USE THEM AGAIN WHEN WE RETURN TO OUR HOUSE AFTER RENOVATION.

HAD DAMAGE TO A PIECE OF FURNITURE AND THEY HAD FIXED AND RETURNED TO ME.

IT WAS A GREAT COMPANY, AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. IN FACT, I HAVE RECOMMEND THEM.
