I'm unhappy with Comcast. They'll give you one price when you start out and your price goes up. It fluctuates and there's no difference. It's not like you added channels. The price fluctuates too much. Because of that, I dropped Comcast and went with another company. I've been with Comcast for at least 20 years. They tell me my bill was $99 but I never pay $99. I always pay $140 - $173. The quality isn't bad at all.

I had had a recent install of the new Xfinity system. I needed a small attachment that plugs into the back of the receiver to allow you to use the remote without directing it at the box. It is smaller than a matchbook and can be self installed by just plugging it in and syncing it with the remote. I had already done this upstairs. I called Comcast and asked them to just mail me one of these devices. They refused to do it without sending out a service person.that required me to make an appointment and wait at home for him to hand it to me.

When the representative came out, I told him that I only needed cable in two rooms. Instead of listening to me, he went ahead and installed cable outlets in all nine of my rooms. I then called Comcast to tell them what happened and they never got back to me. In addition, they told me that my first bill would be $88 and when I finally got my bill it was $183. I tried calling a second time, to complain, and was told that someone would call me back in 45 minutes, and I never heard from them. The next day I called AT&T and had them come out install their cable.

If I could give them a piece of my mind, I would. The internet is fast but it goes down all of the time. I've called customer service but they are just very hands-off. They say it is your problem or one of their standard answers is that they are having trouble in your area. My biggest pet-peeve with them is no dial tone. If the internet goes down so do the phones. I have small children, old enough to stay alone, 13 and 14 watching my 8 year old and he needs to be able to call us if something happens. I used to have satellite and it would get knocked out all of the time and I understood that. Now I have cable and every time we have a storm, we are getting knocked out. I have my mobile phone through someone else or else I would be totally crippled. It can be out for 24 hours or more. They fined us $75 because our credit card expired. They can be down for 2 or 3 days and that is okay but they fine us because our credit card was expired by one day. They didn't even email us and let us know that it was going to happen.
