On Thursday 10/1/20 I found a stray kitten on the road behind my work crouched in the ditch and not moving. I took him and placed him in a box and put him inside my office until I could get away and take him to the vet. He stayed in the box crouched down and not moving for over two hours and the whole ride to the vet. I knew there was something wrong with him as he did not move at all and would not drink. At around 10:30am I took him to my vet, Cat Care Hospital, and was very specific in telling the lady at the counter that he was a stray I had found, that he was not drinking, that he had not moved in over two hours and maybe longer as I did not know how long he had been in the street. I said I wanted him totally checked out and to make sure he was in good health so I could take him home. To call me with any needs it had and I would determine what to do. After a few hours I was called to say he could be picked up. At 5:30pm I left work early to pick him up. When I arrived I was told that he was given flea medicine and that he would most likely foam at the mouth at night and that he did not have Leukemia or Aids and that he was good to go. I asked to be sure that he was ok and was told yes. That night at home he seemed lethargic and did not eat or drink and was foaming at the mouth. I kept his mouth wiped clean and figured it was the medicine affecting him and he had been through a rough patch and was probably tired and not feeling well. In the morning when I left for work he was sleeping so I let him sleep figuring he was still tired from Thursday. I put some fresh food and water out for him and went to work. When I got home after work he was still lying down and the food had not been touched. I picked him up and he was just limp in my hands. He could barely lift his little head and was having trouble keeping his eyes open. I tried to feed him milk using an eye dropper and he could not even drink. I rushed him to BluePearl Veterinary 24/7 emergency hospital in Marietta on Cobb Parkway. They put him in front of the line because of his grave situation. They checked him out and told me he was really far gone and severely dehydrated and they could not guarantee that any care would have a positive outcome for him. They strongly recommended euthanasia for the little kitty. Since I am no doctor I reluctantly agreed. On Monday 10/5/20 I called Cat Care Hospital to tell them what happened. The lady on the phone told me that they had been alerted by BluePearl of what happened. I conveyed my unhappiness and asked how they missed that the kitty was not “good to go”. I strongly expressed that this should not have happened and that I wanted answers. She told me that she would have the doctor call me on Tuesday 10/6/20. I waited all day on Tuesday for a call from the doctor but the call never came. I am furious! These people took my money when I was trying to save a live and don’t even have the decency to call me when they said they would. I have spent thousands of dollars with them for my other two cats and one of them is on so many medications that now I am second guessing if he even needs them. I am done! I will NEVER take any more cats to this place. All they seem to care about is taking your money and are not concerned with the well being of the cats. I am most saddened and upset that a poor little kitty had to die because of negligence on the part of this vet.

We took our cat here for a basic sanitary grooming. Since I had to work, my husband took him- I was shocked by what he said. 1) It was HOT inside. Mid May and it was very hot in the building. Either the AC was broken or the employees just don’t care about comfort of their clients and pets. 2) My husband said he could hear the vets getting frustrated while dealing with our cat. He was in the next room after they took him back. 3) When I was able to look at our cat, I noticed that he still had a huge mat of fur directly beside the shaved spot. They did a terrible job. I don’t know if they were supposed to brush our cat or not, but they definitely did not even do the bare minimum. The website says that there will be a “stress-free, comfortable environment”. Our experience today was most certainly not stress-free or helpful at all. DO NOT USE.

She came in on a Sunday to check on my cat to let me know about her condition. Someone from her office is constantly updating me. Everything is very well explained and all questions answered.

Went in and it felt like a living room not a vet's office. No barking dogs or any other type of animal. The exam room was the same way. The tech came in and was very nice. She listened to what I wanted done and what was wrong with my cat. When the doctor came in she gave my cat a thorough exam. They did not try to sell me anything or push anything on me.

This place is great with cats. I mean the name says it, but they are so compassionate and they know exactly how to handle the cats. They are fantastic and I am very pleased. They are reasonable and answer all of your questions. You don't have to wait long for your turn either, which is nice as well.
