BOB'S GARAGE

It was ordered as a Christmas gift for me from my wife on 12/20/2012, it was supposed to be custom made to her color combination etc.. It was supposed to be a 5-6 week lead time. After receiving the card and specs on Christmas morning I was ecstatic but wanted to find out the details about it. I called them the next day, the recording stated they were closed until after New Year's Day. I left a message with my concerns and questions and to please call me asap. I received no call so I called them the following Monday. The specs on the website stated it was powder coated (was changed after my BBB complaint) suitable for outdoor use. My concerns were how it was made, verification of finish and details in general. Bob told me it was boxed and going out for shipping. He assured me everything was good and not to worry. After receiving it and opening the box (which we not damaged) the pump was damaged I was so angry I called Bob immediately. I explained that both the priced panals were laying in the bottom, attached with Velcro and cardboard? the top of the metal under the plastic top was bent and the PAINT (supposed to be powder coated ) was peeling. It had a price tag on it ( custom made ) the colors were reversed from order. The top globe was not with it, it was back ordered. He blamed all the damage on the shipper. I explained the damage could not have been caused by the shipper, it was under the plastic top with no damage to it. I questioned the price panals, price tag, bent metal, paint instead of powder coating, color combo. Needless to say Bob was not nice, actually saying my wife should have done more research and hung up on me. Wouldn't answer my calls, couldn't contact thru email.lied to the BBB. I did fix it and it is displayed outside my garage. His paint is peeling like a banana, I'll refinish it this year.
