Atlanta Classic Garage Doors

This is the second time I have had Nathan out for my garage door. Earlier in the summer he replace a spring and he was very punctual and fixed the door very quickly! His pricing was very fair and I felt he was very honest and capable. I called and left a message on 11/29/2015 that my door had stopped working but that the device was making a funny sound. I did not expect a call back being Sunday evening, but I received one quickly. He told me what he thought the problem was over the phone, but when he got here he was able to get it working without replacing the unit! He told me it would quit again at some point and I told him I would call him when it did that I had called him this time since he had done a great job during the summer. Little did I know that he would be needed this evening. He didn't even make it home before I was calling. He will be returning tomorrow morning to replace the unit so I won't have to worry about it again! I would recommend him to anyone! Thanks for a job well done!

Atlanta Classic Garage Doors is a top notch company. The installation was perfect. Nathan arrived on time, worked very hard and answered all my questions. I feel confident he recommended the right garage door opener to meet my needs. He fixed a problem with the door that went above and beyond what I contracted him for. I am happy with the way the door sounds now when it opens and closes--quiet and smooth.

My garage door would not open but would close. As of this morning I was unable to remove my car from the garage. I called Angie's List and my most helpful representative gave me a number of businesses in my area. I chose Atlanta Classic Garage Door.
Nathan answered the call assured me that he could come today. He analyzed the problem and gave me an estimate. He called and said he could come earlier than the appointment time and he would call me when he entered my neighborhood. Upon arriving he was very professional in communicating the problem and completed the work of the exact cost he had quoted initially. I would recommend Atlanta Classic Garage Door to everybody needing this type of service.

Nathan replaced broken springs. He did not have the original type of springs with the garage door. He used a different type, and it worked fine.

Michael showed up at the appointment time, he was very professional and nice.  As he inspected the garage door, he found a part had  been knocked out of line.  He fixed it immediately.  He would not allow me to pay him.  I was shocked.  I would highly recommend Atlantic Classic Garage Doors.  It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Nathan was here on time and worked quickly to replace the broken springs and pullies on my ancient garage doors. He fixed the light in my garage as well and informed me of an upgrade in the building code regarding spring safety. I offered to purchase it ($32) and he told me I didn't really need it as the new springs are good, I plan to replace the garage doors in the future and it can be done then. How about that !!!  He also tightened all the bolts on the garage door. It runs more smoothly than ever now and the cost was more than reasonable. He is my go to guy and when I am ready to replace the garage doors, I'll be on the phone to him. Can't say enough good things. And thank you Angie's List and the reviews that lead me to this local small business.

Because I am very picky about who works on our home, I contacted 5 garage door companies when we decided to install our first garage doors about 3 years ago.  By far, Atlanta classic garage doors was the most impressive of all of the bids that I received, and the price was very competitive.  They did an amazing job dismantling our old doors, installed the new ones and cleaned up well and left our house looking like a new home!  We were extremely happy with our entire experience with this company.  Then earlier this year, we decided to replace a boat door in the basement.  Nathan came again and did a wonderful job.  We called him again this month because we are downsizing and bought a new house and wanted to update the garage doors.  I knew that I didn't need to call any one else for a bid. Nathan came and gave us a reasonable bid (i thought).  It turned out that this garage was much shorter than most, and he had to adjust all of the framing to make it fit properly.  He was there most of the day (much longer than he had expected) and never complained or tried to charge us more.  He was extremely personable, efficient, and got the job done beautifully even though it was very complicated.  The final "piece de la resistance" was that he upgraded our garage door openers to the top of the line ones and did not charge us any extra.  I know that we were repeat customers but this went way beyond what we expected.  This company is the type of company YOU WANT TO HIRE!!!

I exchanged emails with a few vendors first to get some quotes and opinions. Nathan at Atlanta Classic Garage Doors gave me quotes and recommended a less expensive door. The higher-cost door was better insulated, but wasn't worth the additional cost given the circumstances. Although I had done my homework prior to shopping around for quotes, Nathan pointed out something that I hadn't come across - a steel bar at the top to reinforce the door. He installed these as a matter of course with no additional up-charge.
On installation day, Nathan showed up on time, and quickly got to work dismantling the old doors, and installing the new ones. No fuss, no muss. Just quick, quiet and efficient work. It was clear to see he knew exactly what he was doing. He had the 2 new doors installed by himself in well under 3 hours.
Nathan was friendly and easy to deal with. It would be great to have more vendors/contractors like him.

For those interested in the insulating properties of the new doors, I can tell you about its performance relative to the old ones. The old ones were single sheets of wood, and pretty heavy. The garage was always cold. The new doors are steel, 2 sheets with a polystyrene insulating layer sandwiched between. Even with 'lites' (windows), these new doors keep the garage much warmer. Even with some of the recent below-freezing temps, the garage is still a toasty 60+ F. 
These doors are also lighter and will put less stress on the motors, which in turn should extend their useful lives.

They did a great job.  Came when they said they would. Very friendly and very professional. Answered all my questions and concerned.

I can't say enough how pleased I was with Nathan' service.  He has very good communication as far as appointment time and part availability etc...  He was on time, courteous, and the work was completed without a glitch.  His price was good.  Turn around time was a few days due to needing to get part and the weekend.

Everything went really well,  Top notch service and you can tell these guys know what they are doing.  The pricing was very good too

This company answered on first call, quoted a worst case, then came in under once the garage door was reviewed. Additionally the door had a handle that was loose and it was repaired at no charge.
I was very happy with the service provided.

We had a spring from an oversized garage door break. Atlanta Classic responded to our inquiry quickly. They showed up with all the parts needed. While here, they replaced a second door's spring too. While changing the springs, they also greased the rails and replaced a few casters. Overall did a great job!

Recently bought a new home in Marietta and wanted to use a local business to buy and install openers. Michael answered all of my questions and explained options well. He also cam with Nathan to install them. Explained how to work the openers after installation was complete. Very personable!

Called on Sunday, scheduled between 11am and 1pm on Monday.  They showed at 10:45am and were finished in about 30 min.  They briefed me on the work, and  I am completely satisfied.

We have used them many times and had quick response all times. We wish we had used them to install our new doors, but you learn the hard way sometimes. I like that they will talk me through a few troubleshooting tips before scheduling an appointment. I find them to be knowledgable and thorough.

Garage door was busted due to leaving a weed wacker under it.  They came out the next day and fixed the garage using the existing materials and new cables....didn't try to sell me on anything major.  Just fixed the issue with some new cables, balanced the door and was done in an hour and a half.  Got a quote from a company called Garage Door Service Company of $500!!!  Atlanta classic garage Doors did this service repair for only $122.40.  Definitely would use them again!

I contacted the company and left a detailed message. My call was returned promptly and the man offered to install the garage door opener that same day if I was going to be home. I was not going to be home that day, so we scheduled the installation for Wednesday that same week.  On Wednesday morning, they called to say they were in route to my residence with an estimated arrival of 11:00am. I received another call around 11:00am saying they were outside of my garage. I met with the two of them (Michael and Nate) and they explained the job, said it would take approximately one hour, and it did.  They programmed the security code for the outside access panel, tested everything, explained the operation and etc. Michael and Nate were both very professional, efficient and thorough. I will definitly contact Atlanta Classic Garage Doors in the future for my garage door needs and I will also recommend them to my friends and family.

I was surprised that the price wasn't higher. My husband was very impressed. They were very friendly and knew what needed to be done. They got the job done on that same day. The price was a great price. I have already recommended them to other people.

These guys seemed too good to be true. I was skeptical, but they delivered. After meeting with six companies from Kudzu (including the big O), I picked ACGD. As a single woman, I?m used to people trying to take advantage of me so I research everything thoroughly. Not only was Michael one of the few who was credible, but he also didn?t try to upsell me on stuff like others. I appreciate their willingness to accommodate my crazy road warrior schedule and to wait for me when I got stuck in traffic ? even though it made Michael late to get his kid. After discussing several options, they replaced both garage doors and openers for much less than the other companies estimated. They even agreed to replace wood support beams that were rotting and were very accommodating regarding all my other high-maintenance requests (and there were many). Today (several months after installation), I broke a sensor. The garage door wouldn?t work. Of course it was Friday at 7:00 p.m. on a holiday weekend, so I didn?t expect to hear back from anyone until Tue. But Michael answered the phone. And this is why they rock ? he stayed on the phone with me and talked me through how to fix the problem myself. He also offered to come out Sat. if I?m still having problems. I?ve done a LOT of work on the house over the last six months, and this is one of the best companies I?ve encountered.
