Apex Furniture Refinishing

I hired Asim to refinish my dining room set. He committed to get the work done in 3-4 months. 16 months later he had barely started. He repeatedly told me via text that the work would be done soon. He offered excuses of his workshop being cold (no heat) or hot (no A/C) and that he was a one man company. When the work was finally completed he charged 20% more than originally quoted. the quality of the work is only acceptable - note as good as I expected. Do not use this business.

I hired Asim to refinish 5 pieces of furniture. He committed to a schedule to get the work done in 2 weeks. 4 months later he had only completed 2. He repeatedly told me via text that the work would be done soon. He offered excuses of not being able to find the right color stain. Then i was told many times he was a one man company and his work space was small. He never mentioned that when I hired him and he gave me a completion date. After 4 months I went to his shop and picked up the finished and unfinished work. To make matters worse he refused to refund $100 of my $500 deposit even though the finished items were quoted at $200 each claiming his price was based on all items were done. This group discount was never stated on his written estimate. I would not recommend him to anyone.

Asim did a fine job a was very professional. I would add that this work takes time and and although it took more time than expected, the results were great. This work is an art and this man is a craftsman. I would recommend!!

A quick turn around on paint stripping and our dining table looks brand new again. Great job!

Worst repair job ever. Had a table that needed refinishing for a minor mark that had damaged the finish. Got an estimate from Apex. When he came out to take the table top, he complained about having to transport the heavy table top. When he finally returned it a week late, he complained again. Then with a few days the finish began to crack all over the table top. When I called him about it he was reluctant to come back. When he did, he tried to blame it on the table quality. Before he would agree to do anything about it, I had to agree to pay $300 for transport back and forth to his shop...to fix his bad workmanship. After another 3 weeks, he called and said the table top was stuck in the open position and he couldn't get it back together. Wanted another $450 to put on new tracks. Finally, when it cam back, the refinish job was terrible. Obvious ridges around the edge and a noticeable gouge on one half near the center line. He promised to come back and fix at our house without having to take the top. Never heard from him again. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Poor work, poor attitude and no concern over the quality of his work.

It went smoothly.  The piece looks wonderful and I am excited to put it back in the dining room.  Communication, pick up, delivery, etc. could not have gone better.  Mr. Qureshi is so pleasant and easy to work with.  I will happily let him do further work for me.
