Pretty much the worst carpentry and attention to detail I have ever seen. The roof starter strip was damaged and the drip edge was badly damaged, so much so that I am hiring a roofer to repair it. Interior plywood was used on an exterior project. The new sheathing was installed over the protruding nails of the old material and was only attached with three nails, that means there was only one nail in one of the pieces of sheathing. Not all of the old or rotten material was removed and was covered up with some of the new material. Soffit end cap was not the right shape or size and did not have a miter on the short end so it was forced in place breaking the other fascia board. Roof aggregate was also damaged by sliding things across roof. Gutter was damaged and bent from the inside and outside as well as gutter guard. Did not sweep or clean up all trash. Avoid using this company.

Ira Roberts was hired to complete contract/handyman work that was left incomplete and unprofessionally done by those at Affordable Handyman. It is unfortunate that Angie?s List does not allow reviewers to post photos of the work that was done
by the provider, good or bad. One would think that I would have learned my lesson by now, when confronted with a
so called handyman that does not provide a contract and want his payments to be written in a check or wired to him, so that if you want to file a complaint with your bank it would be futile. I had to literally beg this rotten crook to give me a
contract for his work. A family member cajoled me into hiring him; and I was compelled to hire him due to the
fact that he said that he would complete my basement, in which, I would not have to hire a plumber and electrician separately. The renovations that was being done in my family?s home was going on to almost 5 months, while they were living in the home, so one could imagine the immense amount of pressure felt to get the job done immediately, and especially if the person who is doing the cajoling lives in the midst of the renovation. It would be great if I could post the almost 100 photos of the sloppy work that Ira had done. I have emailed that thief about 75 photos, sent him a text message, and left 3 voicemail messages for him
to return to my family?s home to fix the numerous problems, and no response. This looser is going to be served by the court. He took advantage of the fact that my parents were growing impatient about the renovation taking a long time to be completed, and that fact that I live in New York. Ira quoted that it would take him less than 14 days for the work to be completed. It took him almost 2 months. He had unprofessional workers to do some of the work. He left a pile of dirt in my basement bathroom?s new vanity cabinet, and on the floor. He left the bright white grout in the bathroom a tan-brownish color. Anyone that sees the bathroom would say this needs to be entirely redone. The tiles in the bathroom were left cracked and unprofessionally cut. He scratched up my expensive vanity mirror frame. He is a despicable creature. He had to redo 2 closet shelves 3 times because he bought the wrong item once, and did a horrible job the first time. He is disgusting. He bought 2 french doors for a room,
instead of consulting with the client on how it should be painted, that b****** turns around and paint it any color he wished, and blames his foolish decision on the client, and left the raw wood still exposed. W**! He never took responsibility for anything. He showed up late, or not at all. He complained about placing the quarter rounds after installing the baseboards?.even though he was paid in advance for it. He was utterly rude and quarrelsome to another handymen, who painted the quarter rounds that he did not want to install because Ira felt as though that was not his job even though it was agreed upon and stated in the contract that he finally gave to me, after continuously harassing him for one. About the 2 french doors, he did not put a locks on them, even with the bare minimum of installing magnetic closures. He also left paint debris on the doors? glass. Do not bother with checking out his so-called company?s website because one does not exist?that was a major clue that Ira Roberts is a crook.
