Anglin's Foundation & Masonry Repairs

Anglin's installed 7 steel resistance piers and 2 steel posts to stabilize our home foundation. When we realized we had several cracks in our foundation, we contacted 5 reputable foundation repair companies. While other companies had better sales presentations and more professional proposals, we decided to go with Anglin's because they had significantly better prices and lots of good ratings. We are very happy with our choice. Iggy and his team did a really good job.

Great. The crew (Iggy, Chris, Don, and Leo) arrived 15 mins early. Very professional, friendly, and seemed very knowledgeable. They were confident that they could fix my sagging exterior wall and repair the masonry damage. Of course I won't know for sure for a few years, but it appears that they did a very good job. They found the problem, fixed it, installed two piers, repaired the brickwork, and also repaired cracks in my brickwork in other areas of my house. They cleaned up after themselves, and repaired the area of my concrete driveway that they had to dig through. Lots of specialized, heavy equipment was needed - that plus their obvious expertise and experience does seem to justify the high cost. Extra service: An hour after they left, I tried but could not get my garage door to work. I assumed that some of the work they did caused the opener to become mis-aligned, I called and left a msg at their office. Within 20 mins Chris returned my call, and came back to my house within the hour. They quickly showed us that the cameras were mis-aligned (we should have realized that), and fixed them. Nice.

John came out with crew to fix my chimney which was pulling away from the house and causing a leak in my basement. They reinforced with 20 foot steel beam. Finished in one day. Very respectful and a pleasure doing business with this company. Other bids I received were almost double the price. Highly recommended.

They did a very good job and when they said they would. Also provided a lifetime warranty on their work.

They originally made a repair back in 2011. They offer a lifetime warranty and the original repair shifted.  There was one corner where they completely redid the job.  They dug up the jack, reset it, and redid all of the mortar.  The technician was great to work with.  He knew exactly what to do and did a great job.

They were very, very good. I was impressed with their job and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them again whatsoever. They called me promptly and were quick to get out here and do the work. They were so clean and so good at what they do that you wouldn't be able to tell they did anything.

Dealt with Skip.  Professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.  Able to quote via a JPG picture I sent him.  Did work as outlined.  His crew completed two jobs in one day.  Did good job and we feel good about it.  Some have mentioned that I may have paid a little high for the job.  I am happy with the results.

I was very satisfied with them; they were knowledgeable and right on time. They were dependable and did what they said they were going to do. They were there on the day they were supposed to be.

Mostly the work went very well.  Anglin's crew arrived 3 days later as scheduled.  They performed the work as described and cleaned up in one day.  All cracks were either closed by jacking the wall back into its original position or were ground out and tuckpointed.  There was still some minor sag over the doors after completion of the work, but it is not readily noticeable and there has been no settlement in the 4 months following the work.
The only problem encountered was matching the mortar.  On the first try, the new mortar was considerably lighter than the original, and it was very obvious where repairs had been made.  Anglin did come out to correct this immediately, grinding out their newly placed mortar and retuckpointing.  I was still not happy with the color match so the Foremen came back out.  He said it was as close as he could get unless the company Owner knew of a way to darken it slightly.  He would check.  I did not hear back from them.
In spite of the glitch on the mortar color, I am very happy with the structural results and generally happy with the work and attention overall.

We had no problems at all. They were the only company that came out to give us an estimate. They did good work. One of my neighbors is a builder and he came down and needed something similar done and he seemed to think they knew what they were doing. The only thing, they used the wrong color mortar on the bricks and I need to call them back to take care of that. I would rate them overall a B.

The price was very fair and we were very pleased.

The work was performed to my satisfaction as they described it.  The brickwork looks great.  The garage floor still shows a slight incline due to interference with nearby framing,  but much, much better than before.  They had explained that ahead of time.

Estimator came to my home. I show him the scope of work to be completed (described above). Estimator also,suggested adding 3 piers to stablize front porch and steps. Estimator gave me a price for both. I chose not to do the pier work. This prompted the estimator to reprice the scope of work that seemed a bit high, but I continued with Anglin's because of their reputation. Estimator and the mason show up yesterday , we review the scope of work and the mason starts working. When mason finishes the work I complete an inspection. Some questionable mortoar areas around the field stone not repaired. I instruct mason to complete a few more areas. Work started at 10:00am and completed at 2:45pm. Price too high for amount of work completed.

THE GENTLEMAN THAT WORKED ON MY CHIMNEY WAS RESPECTFUL AND UNDERSTANDING. HE FIXED MY ROOF IN A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME AND DID IT RIGHT. I WAS VERY SATISFIED WITH HIS PERFORMANCE.
