American Landmark Fence

This company's salesman stated that the workers would be at our home to do the job in three to five days. They did not show up for two weeks. The day they were to show they canceled and were three hours late on the rescheduled date. They stated they went to the wrong town and were given incorrect directions. The workers themselves were polite and the end product was fine.

They were punctual, polite and got the job done quickly. They gave me a free estimate. The company is bonded, licensed and registered in the Better Business Bureau. Unfortunately, I do not have the cost for the repairs.

From the beginning there were problems. They damaged our sprinkler system, they damaged a city power line and never reported it. The fence is not installed properly and was not to all of my specifications. I have tried to get them to correct the errors or at least return my deposit and they seem unwilling to do anything.

I am very happy with my fence. It took a few weeks to get the installers out to the site, but once they were there, the installers were very impressive. They put up the fence in one day, working non-stop through a thunderstorm. I don't think much of the crew spoke English, but it wasn't a problem. They did a top notch job. The fence is very well constructed and sturdy. Everyone who comes to visit comments on our fence and says how nice it looks.

Chris arrived exactly on time as scheduled and was very experienced and helpful in determining the work to be done. The decision was a combined effort with my neighbor and another company was selected to do the work.

It was excellent. The salesman didn't tell the truth. They say any thing to get you to do it. The installers made a mistake and came back right away and did an excellent job. I like my fence.

The sales person was punctual, courteous and was able to measure and give me the estimate all within about 20 minutes. His price was in the mid range for the estimates that I received, and all estimates came in higher than I had budgeted for, and I had to put the work off. If I had chosen one at this point, however, I would have chosen Landmark.

Sales rep was detailed and professional. Fence turned out ok. There are some flaws in it and I feel the installers were not prepared with the right equipment or knowledge. The lead guy seemed to be teaching the other two and they had to hand dig because their auger was broke. Language was also a problem when I would go out to ask questions - they spoke very little English.

VERY PLEASED, WOULD USE AGAIN. I WAS PARTICULARLY IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY AND PROFESSIONALISM OF THE INSTALLERS. I ALSO LIKED THAT I WAS ABLE TO CALL THEM UP, DESCRIBE MY NEEDS, AND GET A ROUGH COST ESTIMATE OVER THE PHONE. ON THE OTHER HAND, SOME OF THE MATERIALS USED COULD HAVE BEEN OF BETTER QUALITY, FOR EXAMPLE SOME SCREWS WERE TOO LONG AND PROTRUDE THROUGH THE WOOD, AND SOME OF THE PRESSURE TREATED PINE COULD BE LESS KNOTTY. OVERALL, THE FENCE LOOKS GREAT!

DESPITE MY PAYING 50% UP FRONT, THE COMPANY DID NOT START THE JOB FOR 5 WEEKS. (3 WEEKS AFTER START PROMISED) ON CONSTRUCTION DAY, ALMOST NO ONE SPOKE ENGLISH AND I HAD TO GET THEM TO PULL OFF AND REPLACE BOARDS THAT WERE OBVIOUSLY BAD WOOD. NOW THE FENCE IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD AND MANY OF THE BOARDS ARE WARPED AND COMING APART. I HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES, WRITTEN LETTERS, HOWEVER, THE COMPANY HAS NOT RESPONDED TO ANY OF MY REQUESTS TO STAND BY THEIR SUPPOSEDLY "QUALITY" WORK.

THE QUALITY OF WORK IS EXCEPTIONAL. EXPERIENCED AND COURTEOUS WORK CREW.

ALWAYS CAME WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. VERY HARD WORKING INDIVIDUALS. THE MEN WHO INSTALLED THE FENCE SPOKE VERY LITTLE ENGLISH AND I SOMETIMES HAD A HARD TIME GETTING INFORMATION UNDERSTOOD, BUT THEY DID A GREAT JOB.
