Window World of Middle Georgia

If I could start off with zero stars I would. This company is the absolute worst at window installations. Below are pictures from the 5th and final time of the disastrous work they did on our property. Our initial installation was October of 2017. They installed the windows twice, and came back out 3 more times to fix and seal the windows after we complained about the horrible work done. It is now March of 2019 and the job is a disaster. Our home is much colder now due to them not knowing how to use silicone or any other sealant to keep out the elements. Even the owners and chief mgr came themselves and as you can see, they have no idea how to install windows properly. I urge anyone in the Middle Georgia area, Macon and everywhere else, do not under any circumstance hire Window World of Middle Georgia to sell you or install windows in your home. You will surely regret it as we are now being advised by legal counsel on next steps to see how we may recover the now thousands of dollars in damage and hire a more reputable company to take out and replace all the disastrous work that WINDOW WORLD OF MIDDLE GEORGIA did. #AbsoluteWorstWindowInstallersOnEarth

Window World came out and looked at

They were very nice and professional. The windows and doors look amazing. You could tell a difference in temperature immediately.

It went pretty good.  They did have to come back and readjust one of the windows a few months later due to it not being installed straight. They also still need to recock a window. They didn't clean up the area after they finished the work. Other then that I am happy with the work.

SO much better than last time. They brought in the big window, popped out the old one - no broken glass - and popped in the new window. Everything was tidy afterwards. Mr. Frank brought in two great guys, who even patted my dog!

It was good.  We had some windows under warranty and we discovered that they could backup the warranty for a business we had used that has gone out of business.  They were prompt and covered our warranty.  It was just a great service.  It was good quality.  We installed the replacement windows but that was fine, it wasn’t a big deal.

Excellent work and no complaints.

Firstly, the salesman was a very nice person and the price was reasonable. The window guys were kind of scary; I wouldn't have signed off on the job, but the younger guy was saying "It is my duty to provide satisfaction" - straight-faced. I was alone, & not going to argue. They installed the window incorrectly - or, as the "phone guy" suggested, installed a defective window. I opened it and it was stuck on open, and it was the weekend. Nobody was answering the phone. So, open window all weekend. But to the company's credit, they responded on Monday and fixed the problem. BUT the window still isn't quite right.  I finally DID complain some, but stopped when the "phone guy" immediately defended the "window guys." It's not a court, and I don't need to argue with somebody about what caused the problem. Anyway, would use the company again - good quality (despite their own guy), good price, mostly decent people - IF they begin to subcontract to more honest & competent people. |

Went well, quick, efficient, left area clean.

I orginally wrote a bad review for Window World and I would like to retract the review that I left. I got really upset because I had an appointment set up to get a quote for replacing my windows and 45 minutes went by and no one had shown up  for the appointment so I called the office and took my frustrations out on the office manager which I shouldn't have done. I am a individual that truly believes in being  on time and I guess I just had little patience when my appointment time went by an no one called. The appointment was scheduled on Friday and the owner of Window World (Josh) did contact me back on Monday and we  talked about what had happened and agreed to get one of his guys to come talk to me about quoting a price for replacing my windows. Josh did explain on the original appointment they were running late because they were out giving another potential customer a quote and did not have cell phone service where they were located. He did not call me back on Friday because I was upset for them missing my appointment and he was upset because of the way I talked to his office manager. Anyway one of the guys from Window World did come talk to me about replacing my windows and I will say they were on time for the second appointment. I signed the contract and my windows were ordered. I will say my initial opinion of Window World was very incorrrect. Window World is a very professional company and offer a very good product. Once my windows arrived, Window World called and set up an appointment for the installation. The guys were right on time for the installation and did a very professional installation job. The crew leader kept the guys going and the whole house window installation job was completed in one day. The crew cleaned up behind themselves and did an excellent installation job. Once the job was complete the crew leader walked around the whole house with me and we reviewd the installation of each window to make sure I was completly satisfied. I am definitely a satisifed customer and would definitely recommend this company for your window installation needs. Josh- you run an excellent company and I hate we got started off the wrong way, but you made it right. Thanks for a great deal, a great product, and an a very professional window installation.

They came on time and finished in less then one day, removed all trash and cleaned up. If something was seen that needed a second look they did it with no questions asked. Only thing they forgot to do was leave there sign on the front lawn so no one would know who did the work.

The experience was okay. They were a bit cheaper than others. I am happy with the windows we got from them.

I became acquainted with Window World through the Macon Home Show.  Their salesman came to my house to further demonstrate their product and assess the job.  He was very professional yet relaxingly friendly and non-pushy in explaining the options, price,  warranty, contract, and what to expect during installation.  Although expensive, I felt the price was reasonable based upon the quality of the product and having it installed.  The 3 installers were prompt, friendly, curious and fast (but not sloppy).  They took the time to spray foam any gaps between the brick moulding and the brick before applying the window wrap and cleaned up after the installation was complete.  I was VERY pleased with the end result from start to finish.  The only negative to the whole experience was one  window screen was torn during installation and it took 2 weeks for someone to come out with the replacement.

This is the second experience I have had with Window World of Middle Georgia. Thankfully it was a much better one than the first. The salesman was running slightly late but called in advance to notify me of this. My windows were expected to take between 6-8 weeks for delivery but arrived around 3 weeks after the contract was signed. The installers arrived on time and got to work. They were professional and performed the contracted task well. I gave them a B on quality for missing a few spots on caulking which was later fixed with a service call to the office. The windows installed (4000 series, LowE Argon) replaced 1967 original aluminum framed, single pane windows. Since installation, there is a considerable difference in room temperature. The room receives hours of sunlight and used to get hot during summer months and cold in winter months. They are rated  Originally we elected not to have the windows wrapped in vinyl. The vinyl wrapping does indeed make the house look more appealing from an aesthetic standpoint and is maintenance free for the owner (no painting). All trash was removed from the property after completion of work. Overall I would rate the new owner above and beyond the previous one. It is very apparent he cares about customers and is willing to perform as contracted. The installers were substantially more knowledgeable about the product and at performing the task required to accomplish contracted task. Although the company overall, according to JD Power & Associates for 2012, has slipped slightly since 2010, the windows still rank at or above any competitor in performance according to the NFRC.

Our family is moving into my husband's family home 160 miles away from where we were living.  My husband was unable to attend the initial meeting with Jamie, the salesman.  I was impressed with the company and products, so I wanted my husband to meet with him as well.  Jamie and the owner Josh were travelling through our town a few days later and stopped and met my husband and showed him the windows.  We contracted with Window World and were given a lead-time of 30 days.  Within two weeks I was called to tell me my windows had arrived and were ready to install.  I could not have them installed that soon, so I scheduled for several weeks later.  I honestly never thought the windows would be ready that soon!  The install was to take two days.
On install day, only two men arrived and I was a bit concerned.  However, they got to work and had all 27 windows installed in one day.  They returned on day 2 to finish the trim work and install the doors.   We discovered that the double door did not fit (our house has very decorative, no-longer-available trim) and the install team told me that a new door would be ordered at no cost to me.  The other three doors fit perfectly.  The installers did require an additional half day, but I did not mind.
The windows and doors look great and I could immediately feel the difference in the comfort of our home. 

Our house is 50 years old - built before insulation in exterior walls was required. My husband and I are slowly renovating to make the house more energy efficient. This year we remodeled our master bedroom, ripping out the sheetrock on the exterior walls so that we could insulate. We wanted to replace the existing windows at the same time. When we remodeled our master bathroom 2 years ago, my husband replaced the window himself and was not enthusiastic about doing it again. Enter Window World.  My husband called and scheduled an appointment which was conducted promptly and professionally.  Even though we planned to begin our project less than 2 weeks after our appointment, Window World was able to get the windows in plenty of time.  The day of the install, the Window World "swat" team arrived and had the old windows out and the new windows in - including wrapping the exterior in vinyl - in less than 2 hours.  It was amazing! 
The price was a little more than I really wanted to spend, but it was worth it for the quality product and service that we received.

At the beginning I was impressed with the Window World product (4000 Series). Compared to other companies their product performed below, at or above in NFRC performance test. The salesman was polite, on-time and very prompt to return my calls. The installers were a different story as was the office manager.  The installers had to reschedule the original measurement and arrived late to the second one. On the day my windows were to be installed, they called informing me at one point a re-schedule was needed due to them having to unload a truck. After debating with them they arrived shortly after the originally stated install time. In fact they were working when I arrived at my home. They worked very quickly in removing the old windows and installing new ones. While replacing trim was not in the contract, they could have taken better care/notice of its condition upon re-installing a few pieces. Some had jerry-rigged fixes (caulking and wood splinters) and needed DIY repair. Some of the installers smoked and left cigarette buds lying around. Not really a big deal but its nice if someone picks up after themselves. They cleaned up well (aside from cigarette butts) and made sure I knew to call if any problems arose. On to the office manager. The windows were purchased and installed just outside of the grand tax credit for energy efficient home improvements. However I was still eligible for a smaller credit. In order for this to occur we required a certificate from the manufacturer (Associated Materials Incorporated). Originally it was expected to be provided after final payment was remitted. It was not. After three or four calls to the office manager and no less than two excuses for not providing the information, I contacted WW headquarters in NC. Thankfully they take customer service more to heart than my local franchise. While the paperwork never arrived via snail mail, I finally received an electronic copy on April 13 2011 roughly a month after. I still have the email! Would I use this company again? Maybe. I had WW out for some minor repair and learned the local branch had undergone a corporate take-over. The installers of my windows were fired and the new guys seemed substantially more capable of performing. They had been with the company over 15 years and were here to train credible replacements. I have been very impressed with the product. After installing the windows we noticed a substantial drop in energy consumption. On hot days 100F+ the interior of our windows were cool to the touch while the exterior were very hot. It has been a good quality product and performed as advertized. We are considering having the windows wrapped, installing gutters and vinyl siding on a portion of our home (carport). I will more than likely call WW for an estimate knowing the changes that have occurred. Unfortunately this review is based upon my experience with old personnel. The new people seem substantially more capable.

They did what they were commissioned to do.  They were efficient; they came out and finished the job in one day.  I liked the quality of their work and I didn’t have any problems with them.  I would use them again in the future if I needed to.
