Hired Trugreen to spray for weeds and fertilize in March. Prior to hiring, our lawn was nearly weed free and one of the best in the neighborhood. Sprayed for crabgrass multiple times but never killed it once. Weeds got worse as time went by. The final time they came out before we fired them they sprayed herbicide during the middle of the day in 100 degree heat. Two days later the crabgrass was still alive but 60+ percent of our lawn is burnt and totally dead. I reached out for two weeks and couldn't get a return call or email from the local supervisor. When he finally came out he denied any fault at all and suggested we call the extension agent and let their lawyers deal with them. Sebastian was very unprofessional and unwilling to come to any sort of resolution. We will now have to re-sod our once pristine lawn on our own dime because of the damage this company we hired did to our grass.

I think the price was reasonable with everybody else. They were supposed to do the front and back yard, but they never touched the backyard. We were paying for front and back and they just ignored the back. They did not communicate with us at all about what needed to be done or what to do to help out. I would tell a friend to never use them.

Extremely poorly. I responded to an email offer of 1/2 price for the first application. When I called and explained my situation. displeasure of a previous provider, I was assured that TruGreen was professional and would work with me to provide the services that were needed. I explained that I wanted to have a consultation with a professional BEFORE any services were conducted. I received an email the following day stating that they would be out to perform the first service, without any consultation. I responded to their email and was assured that the technician would provide the consultation service requested. When he showed up he had no idea what I was talking about and could not, or would not, conduct any consultations. I received another email stating that additional services would be performed the following day. Again the technician was totally unaware of what was promised. I sent him away after he sprayed at least 1/2 of my yard with something that I was totally uninformed of. I received yet another email that same day stating that they would be back on Friday. None of the technicians were aware of the needs which I expressed a desire for nor were they able to provide those services. If you want to pay them to do whatever they desire to do they may or may not do an adequate job, I don't know, but if you want them to work with you and keep you informed then this is not the company for you.

My experience has gone very well. The staff is professional and knowledgeable in their field. The pricing is a little high but I have been pleased with their services. I would recommend this company to others.

To start off with I think the corporate level is to blame for my frustration. I told them from the start to have the person coming contact me before they came to my home. That hasn't happened yet. Shortly after they sprayed the first time and didnt let me know they were coming I came home to find their sign in my yard. I called the tech and told him what I had previously told the people that answer the phone and he wasn't aware of that. Within several days of my backyard being sprayed we had a brown spot fungus take over. I called the number that God only knows where goes to and was told to put sand in those spots and hit up for tree/shrub service that would come later. Like an idiot I agreed. Then my back yard died completely. When the tech called after that I told him I did not want anything else sprayed on my yard until the backyard was corrected and he told me his disgust with the corporate end and the same issues. I have been disconnected, complained to the ones that would answer and got no where. Then I come home to find a note where my trees and shrubs had been been treated. I call and complained then and got no where but I did receive a bill immediately after for $70 that I specifically told them not to do after ruining my backyard. I again called the mystery line and asked to speak to management and was given a bunch of crap and asked to keep my account going over and over and told what a great company it was. I told the gentleman that all I wanted to do was cancel any service and for them not to step foot on my property again. I also told him I was not paying for a service that I told them not to do to which he said he would waive. Well guess what I got 2 bills yesterday. One for $49.95 and one for $70.00. Obviously no one that answers the phone pays attention. I hope tru green tries to collect on this because I now know many other people that have had the same issue and would love to file a class action suit against them. By the way I have spent about $700 out of my pocket trying to get grass back. Thanks for nothing tru green!

We used Tru Green in Ohio for years before we moved here to Georgia.  Tru Green has always been professional and we have had great service from them.  They always call the day before they apply the application on the yard.  They are always on time and do a good job and they charge a fair price.  After many quotes from other companies providing the same service, they charged us the least amount.  We were able to negotiate the price.  I would definitely use them again.

The service seems to be good. I've been using them for several years.

They are terrible.  They do not know what customer service is and I don't think they care from the main office down to the local office. I would have liked to do business with them, but you are only as good as your word and their word is "Terrible"!

TruGreen is responsible for our truly brown lawn.  When the guy does come, he spends about five minutes pulling a hose around the front yard, and about ten minutes filling out his paperwork to put on our doorknob.  We have called to complain but get no response except automated robocalls and frequent $60 bills.  They are very good at billing -- they have that down to a science!
The blocks checked on the forms the guy leaves on the doorknob indicate that he doesn't know one grass type from another, and doesn't even bother to consult the paperwork we filled out when we signed up for the "service".  We have Zoysia grass, and he has been treating it as though it is Bermuda grass.  Today the form on the door said he put down 200 pounds of chemical, which, I think, is impossible to do in five minutes.
I will attach photos so you can see what a TruGreen lawn looks like.  The green in the pictures is my neighbor's yard, which is untreated and he also hasn't started up his sprinklers yet.  My yard used to look like that before TruGreen got ahold of it.  My neighbors on both sides asked us what happened to our yard.  We said "TruGreen"!

First off I must say that Tru Green is well organized, all their staff we polite, cleanly dressed and driving professional-looking vehicles, and monthly service was always performed at the scheduled time. The problem is that the results are quite disappointing in all regards. I used them for seasonal service on our bushes and they seemed no better for it. But worse was our lawns, both front and back. Tru Green certainly managed to kill any weeds, but it did the grass no favour. After about a year the lawn was looking worse than ever, so I decided to end the service. I then got a few assertive phone calls and eventually agreed for the manager to come to the house and evaluate the situation. He had several theories as to why the lawn was in bad shape, but nothing definitive. We finally agreed to seasonal service only for the lawns. I will probably end that this winter as there is no improvement.

TruGreen offer 7 visits for the $300 annual price. These are supposed to cover weed control, lawn greening and so on. They come when I'm not here so I never get to talk to them, which I don't like. I asked them specially to schedule me for the end of the day, after 4pm, so I could be here. They promised me they would and haven't yet. I'm going to finish with them at the end of this year.

After they sprayed for pests, I got more bugs outside than before. When they came out and sprayed the bushes in my yard, they killed the bushes. My husband was not very pleased. However, they are getting better; I still use them for lawn work. They send out different guys. They are responsive. However, they were not punctual the last time I called them. They came out only the next day.
