Davidson Electric did several jobs, some big and some small while I was running a small business at home. I never questioned their ability and assumed they were doing all those jobs properly until a couple of years ago when I had an electric kiln installed. I had trouble from the start having to use breakers that were bigger than I should have had to use and each time they came out to "fix" the problem I was charged another hundred and twenty-five or more dollars. After a few months the wiring caught fire. Fortunately the kiln was in a little shed that was easy to repair. Had it been in a house, the house would have probably burned down. I called for them to correct their mistake and repair the wiring. They came out and gave me all kind of nonsensical reasons that it wasn't their fault. Being very busy at the time, I just wanted it fixed and thought it better to pay them again than sue them. I called the owner to complain and he said the kiln should have been hardwired, not plugged in. I asked why wasn't that done and he said that I requested that it be that way. When I told him that was not true he started screaming and I hung up.
A month or so ago, I finally got around to calling a different electric company and they said all the wiring to the kiln was incompetently done and was very dangerous. I had them do temporary fixes and they will come back to rewire later ($1000-$1300).
